.. and to be surprise the DJ who was playing before the band came on played to JD/NO songs, Love Will Tear Us Apart and Ceromony. I can't have a night out anywhere in Manchester without hearing them!

They seem to be far bigger than Oasis in Manchester in a lot of ways.

Well, then be grateful that Celine Dion isn't from Manchester :skeptic:

that quote above has to be the best quote i have ever heard! everyone bangs on about oasis,i can't understand it! yes indie was dead until oasis arrived, they sparked the revival in the uk leading to what we now call britpop, spurring on a load of other sound alike bands etc. there music is very repetitive and very samey sounding to me.perhaps they should ditch the guitars for a synth sound for an album or so. on the other hand new order have shown us a diverse range of musical style over the last two decades. oasis are very pale in comparison! i doubt anyone would disagree. regards

Masterplan and Aquiesce are two of my favourite songs ever.

But they've not done a good album for 10 years now... :uhoh:

I'd love to go to a Blondie concert.

They could even invite Hooky to play Atomic. :bass:

How did you work it out, Detweiler? My hat's off to you, lad.

For those of you who might give a damn (all none of you), I decided to have a change of identity because James Stephen Barnes was becoming way too intense & miserable, taking to heart all the crap that was going on anti-JSB-wise.

I figured a new name & a total change of personality would be kind of a fresh start, but part of me was hoping that some clever Trevor would suss out the 'Jesse Spent Haberman' anagram before I got bored pretending to be someone else.

I kind of like Jesse, though, he's somewhat of a cheesy kind of bloke, but he represented the "nice" side of JSB (trust me, there is one!) & would never have dreamed of posting some of the filth Barnes had posted before his departure.

Anyway, Now that you all know that James & Jesse are the same bloke, who should carry on posting at NOOL, while the other fades into the past- nasty, spiteful JSB or nice guy JH? I'll post a poll at 'Behind Closed Doors', so go on, make your vote count!

JSB / JH

True, but I'm sure there's a ton of people who use JSB in their e-mail address, even if their initials aren't even JSB (like the boy Haberman)

The concert was brilliant, it was a result of being drunk in a club (5th ave, Manchester) they were playing Atomic and may mate mentioned the gig, so I decided to get ticketds and go with him. I was expecting it to be a bit dull but I am blondie fan so I didn't care.

It turned out to be a brilliant performance, Debbie Harry is amazing considering her age, the show lasted nearly two hours solid. They played all thier usualy famous songs and a few new ones.

The apollo is a great venue too, me and my mate said when they were playing Ceronomy before the how it would be a perfect venue to see New Order as you would get to see everything even if you were at the back.
