Just like to reiterate what a steaming pile of shite it is. Check your fricken ears if you like it. Come on, really, it's the antithesis of leftfield underground disco-pop.

THAT bad??
I've heard worse (from New Order too) ![]()
Well,
- It's not a New Order song, it's a cover for charity
- I find it better than the original, done New Order style
'nough said, I find it's a decent work for such a compilation, and it was probably a rush project.

Might excuse them doing it but it doesn't make it sound any better. I'm sure I've heard a few people say they like it.

Slow Death, for example?
i hated this song with the passion i've become known for..um, not that that's a good thing...anyway, after hanging with ShugZV and our boy Donovan, i absolutely LOVE IT NOW! I'm a big reggae fan anyway but this song makes me open up all the windows and blast the stereo.
Your tastes aren't sophisticated enough to appreciate it yet...maybe one day you'll learn to love it like i do.
It doesn't have to be any good, and it isn't indicative of anything else they may be doing. It's for charidee, not for them or us.

Thread #8765 about Vietnam![]()
Dog's foowkin bollocks. The first time I heard it was at Rocket Mick's house - we were pissed and I thought it was terrible. Then a few weeks later I gave it another try when sober and blow me down, it hit me like a Tyson hook. I am not a fan of Reggae at all, but there are certain songs that change me mind (The Clash doing Police and Thieves for one) Barney actually has a go at singing on this, a rareity in itself![]()
Take a step back Hank - it's a reggae Love Vigilanties, I feel for Mrs Brown.....mainly cos she came from the USA
Only kidding peeps, I am happy to see Brian changed his mind, it's not very often he does ye know. When in New York last year, Don had to buy speakers for his minidisc player so we could listen to Vietnam and Lets Go![]()
Look! I'm clearly right and everyone who disagrees is so wrong they may as well get it tattoed on their forhead in large capitals, W R O N G. and shave their heads and tattoo the back so it's visible when they're walking away, with their tail betwixt their legs.

Sophisticated Pfff! It has about as much in common with Jamaica's musical output as the reggae rhythm preset on a $100 Casio keyboard.
I think it's toss, but then again it doesn't really matter, does it ? It's not like it is the future of New Order. If it were a new song written by them I'd be concerned, but as it isn't......
A sense of style and good taste.....and you don't like Vietnam![]()
I've always thought Hank was unsophisticated as well - him taking a round about twice in Chorley made me mind up about that:p

I didn't like it at first, but it grew on me. I still don't listen to it very often. Just doesn't fit my typical New Order listening moods.

i didn't mean to imply that the song resembled reggae in any way except perhaps in tone. it's a pretty upbeat song that could very well be the source of inspiration for Love Vig.
