Thought I would give this topic its own thread. Somebody mentioned The Killers as sounding a bit like New Order and I felt there are a few other bands/songs in there too. Such as, "Still in Love song" by The Stills, or maybe "Alert Status Red" by Matthew Good. I reccomend em. I thought those are two good very good examples that are getting radioplay, maybe indirectly helping the upcomming NO album.
Anybody else have any New Orderish songs they know of in the many new music catagories?
Only heard THE KILLERS at GLASTO i think last week.Must check them out cos wahat i saw i liked.But no one EVER seems to remind me of NEW ORDER.Glad really....:D
There's a new Australian band called Cut Copy. Not too bad. The media have been comparing them to NO circa PC&L.
Im not one for saying "Such and such sound like..." but my mate passed me a CD and said it was New Order-it wasnt,he was just winding me up-but it was VERY good,and VERY new orderish. The band in question? Someone called "The National". No idea who the are but most of you will not be disappointed.

Personally, I like Nada Surf, who are mostly nothing like New Order, but who do an interesting guitar thrash version of 'Blue Monday', and a track of their own called 'Hi Speed Soul', where the bass and drums lock on in a very NO way (may be the outro, so bear with it to the end - or FF!)
