Flunk - True Faith (Live)

If you loved Flunk's version of Blue Monday (and even if you didn't) you've got to hear their live take of True Faith. This may be my favorite cover of all time landing right up against the Kings of Convenience version of The Eternal and the Bis Fact 2002 EP. You can find info at Beatservice.no. This version was recorded live in a hotel room and has been Flunk's last song during their recent shows. The folks at Beatservice are also planning a full CD release of Blue Monday remixes by some killer Scandanavian producers. Not for all tastes but for those with good taste, look out for this CD coming soon or track down the elusive Greek 2cd version of Treat Me Like You Do.

It's alright, I see it's an acoustic. Sorry to change the subject but can I ask a question? Why doesn't N.O play the original version of TF live anymore, I can't stand the new mix they played on the 511 DVD and the 2002 tour. I would just love for them to play the original version, those drums at the start are wicked.

Because they can't be bothered. That would involve programming, as they upgraded all their gear between 1989 and reforming in 1998, and I think we can safely say that programming old songs is pretty low on their list of priorities. Unfortunately.

What exactly is high on New Order's list of priorities? We all know they're some of the laziest artists around.

Not that long ago, I would have said that "high" was their main priority. Nowadays I suspect that enjoying what they do is the main priority, they've nothing to prove to anyone but themselves, and no real pressure to do that either.

I LOVED Flunk's Blue Monday. I even ordered the album because of it. True Faith seems not as good as their BM but I ordered the single "on my balcony" (that sounds like a great tune) and the new album anyway.
