Timeless Classic...?

That's definitely one of my favorites (never mind its inclusion in the most horrifying film of all time, PRETTY IN PINK)
Pretty in Pink is a great movie Taboo #7. I think there may be a glimps of the shellshock 12" in the record shop scene. 3 tunes by new order in one movie. molly ringwold, duckie...i can't believe you don't like this movie...let me guess, you think SlowJam is the best song on Get Ready and you listen to RocktheShack to get pumped up for a night on the town right?
As for New Order classics to stand the test of time, why do we only have to pick one? If Peel selected both Ceremony and Temptation it proves neworder have multiple bonafide classics in their cannon. Add Blue Monday and BLT to the list and call it a day.
Blue Monday - despite the attempts to make it sound like a cheap and cheesey 80s hit by putting it on every single 80s compilation in existence.
Otherwise the obvious, Ceremony, Temptation, True Faith, Regret. I'd like to think Dream Attack as well.

black sheep.. black sheep..hmmm... "we might be your black sheep but you forgotton us a long time ago..." AARGHH!! its off Lowlife.
some one put me out of my misery, what track again?
In terms of classics, I've just dug out the All Time Festive 50 which was voted on by Peel listeners at the end/start of the old/new millenium. The boys appeared thus -
32 New Order - ' True Faith' (Factory) 28 Joy Division - ' Transmission' (Factory) 20 Joy Division - ' She's Lost Control' (Factory) 19 New Order - ' Temptation' (Factory) 17 New Order - ' Ceremony' (Factory) 15 Joy Division - ' New Dawn Fades' (Factory) 06 New Order - ' Blue Monday' (Factory)
-- and that top 5 in full -
05 Clash - '(White Man) In Hammersmith Palais' (CBS) 04 Sex Pistols - ' Anarchy In The UK' (EMI) 03 Joy Division - ' Love Will Tear Us Apart' (Factory) 02 Undertones - ' Teenage Kicks' (Good Vibrations) 01 Joy Division - ' Atmosphere' (Factory)
