I meant to post this query a few days ago but I got sidetracked... In 'Silence Of The Lambs', there's a track playing in the background of a scene near the end of the movie, where Clarice Starling is talking to a friend of the murdered girl in a restuarant/diner type place, shortly before she turns up at Buffalo Bill's abode. The track sounds like NewOrder, but I can't be sure cos Clarice & the girl are yapping too much for me to be able to hear it properly. But bits do sound like NO.

What also made me wonder if it was NO or not was that according to IMDB, Director Jonathan "Perfect Kiss" Demme nearly always uses at least one NO song in his movies. So, does anyone know if it is NewOrder? If it is, which is it, but if it isn't, who is it by & what's it called?

While on the subject of 'Silence Of The Lambs', I bet a lot of you have seen this already, but for those who haven't, this site is good for a laugh or two:

Blimey, I never thought I'd like the sound of a Fall song. Does anyone know of a website which lists the entire soundtrack of well-known movies?

Spike, Chianti is an Italian wine. Hannibal Lecter is somewhat of a "Snotty Ollie" when it comes to food & drink. He even made Krendler's brain seem like a posh delicacy in the second film... :skeptic:

Yup, go to the Internet Movie Database (www.imdb.com) - type in the name of the film, and when it comes up there's a "soundtrack listing" link on the left hand side which does exactly what it says on the tin.

I've tried IMDB, Doc, they don't list the entire soundtrack (not for 'Silence', anyway)

Since Silence of the Lamb is a Jonathan Demme movie, any NO related stuff wouldn't be a surprise....

After all, he directed The Perfect Kiss!

I wonder is the "Manchurian Candidate" has some  maybe it's not Denzel's type of music ;)

Not all music featured in films make it to the soundtrack, you`d have to check the end credits to be 100% sure. Demme has used New Order before though in Something Wild

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the alleged NO/Fall track wasn't included in the soundtrack or even credited as it was only background "radio" music in the diner.

'Goodbye Horses' is a ruddy good song though, but I can't listen to it without thinking about that creepy little bastard Buffalo Bill saying "Put the fucking lotion in the basket" then mimicking that fat birds screams! Not to mention his wonderful genitalia disappearing act...
