How did this song never get in to the top 40? Was it too modern for 1987? Everytime I listen to this song (on substance 12" played on a decent turntbale and via late 1980's high end premap) it sounds better and better. All the tiny details of synthesis mixed with that killer Morris drum beat, and hooky's brilliant bass lines.
What was number one instead? The pet shop boys always on your mind. (although the PSBs influence on true faith was good).
Does anybody know who does the female vocals on BLT? Is it Barney going through some sort of synthesiser?
