"New Order" and "postponed" goes well together usually... however, I'm not sure an actual New Order release has been postponed, side-projects sure, but NO?

Mixing done by next month, I expect a single in January, and them to tour next summer.

Problem is, with New Order, they don't promote well their albums, so I can't see London Records pushing them for a december release for the big x-mas shopping.

But they still aim a 2004 release, but I'm realistic...

Tour ? You'll be lucky. A handful of dates maybe, but there won't be a full-scale US tour or anything like that. Those days are long since gone.

It's not like they did a big tour in 1993...!

But any East Coast date would make it for me, I don't give a damn, but please, let us know if you don't!! so this time I'd travel....

Surely it won't take them another eight years to release a new album. Please God No.

I have the pennies saved for some US dates myself this time around. There won't be another chance to see them in the States. Wherever will do me !

Nicos...we go 10 dates in 1993, and 4 in 2001, so I sure as hell wouldn't go holding my breath for ANY dates in North America this go around. Besides, you need to get over to England for a proper gig. Quite different from what we get over here! I promise, you won't be disappointed, unless they do Rock the Shack!

Don't be so pessimistic, you never know what they could come up with. :thumb: (i'm being very optimistic here).

I missed already their concert at Brixton Academy. That was the only close chance for me to see them. Now I won't make any mistakes and will beat myself to death to see them in the States, say , in Texas, which they love to perfrom in.:) As for a new single, whatever my realistic mind says, I still hope for the Christmastime around.:thumb:

One date in Manchester which I can get tickets and flights for and bum accomadation off my relatives will do me :thumb:

Then again, a decent gig in a small-ish Dublin venue would be significantly better. Olympia or SFX anyone?

Well, GaryMac sent me a website with quite good deals for flight between London/Manchester and Montreal (altough I never found a DATE that worked yet), so it might not be impossible....

I guess I'd do it, as it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity...
