How Tall?

Ian was 6,3 actually, my height. A thread has been done about this before, i suggest you do a search, but they are all short buggers.

How much shorter? I find that being 6,3 can be a problem, for instance, i always have to talk down to people, and when i meet someone taller tham me i'm sort of stunned. ![]()

Well, I'm 6'4" and I don't find it abnormal.
But when I see a guy below 5'9" I'm always stunned
When I see girls taller than me, then I freak ;)

I'm 6' 6.5' and all my friends are between 5 feet and about 5'9' so I have gotten used to listening to conversations from short people. My mom is short, so I never have looked at a short person and was shocked, but I do get shocked when people are nearly as tall as I am. The big problem with being my height is hitting my head on things in public.
My father used to say that according to the weight chart at his Doctor's office, he was 6 feet tall.
His actual height: 5'5" ![]()

Actually, I don't know anybody that knows is height or weight in the metric system in Canada.
That must be the only part where it never really changed.. I'd have to check my driver's licence to be sure.....
how tall is stephen? he looks tall. maybe i'll read the faq. i knew a guy who was 7'1". he would always get stopped and asked how tall he was and if he played basketball. on occasion, he would walk with this kid who was 5'7" and when ppl would stop them and ask the tall guy "how tall are you?" the short guy would answer " i'm 5'7" " and keep walking. i thought it was funny at least. whatever, the alarm just went off again.
Well im 6'3 myself, i just found out a grew another inch, knowing my family, im going to be like 6'5, or even 6'6 if im luckey, but i always though Barney was taller, now i have to look down....
Oh and when a girl is taller then 6'3 trust me, at my school theirs a girl whos 15 and 6'7!!!!! its scary as hell! and my other friend is 6'7 too!![]()
I'm the only person in my family over 6 foot tall. My mother is 5'2', for instance. Probably the tallest person in the town, it seems
I used to be a shortarse though. Grew around 7 inches over the summer when I was 12. Might have been steroids in the water, or the Chernobyl Effect finally kicked in (born around the right time for the gas cloud to be over Ireland)
Same as Canada here for height and weight - still in feet and stones, even though we have everything else in metric, even road distances (and from January, speed limits)
eh...how's this one to piss a lad off...my father is (was?) 5' 9"...I'm right around the same height...his two sisters...6' 2" and 6' 4"...one of my sisters is 6' as well...at least the other one stayed shorter than me...
'tis loads of fun to look up at your aunts...

I get serious knee problems, partly from my height - a lot of weight for my knees to carry, considering one of them is buggered from a bike accident.

I've had no knee problems yet, even when I used to be fat (240 pounds, now 210), but I surely expect some knee pain when I get older.

I'd like to interrupt this little love-in to claim that I am also in the apparently popular 5 ft. 6 in. club. That is all. You may proceed bashing each other.

I don't own a machine gun. In fact, I don't even own a pocket knife. And, contrary to what you might think, I haven't been in high school for over two years.
Just when u thought all fights where over (JSB and me) here comes a new probelm, The Blue Eyed Boy and the Damn Brazil Kid, any bets anyone?

I was in a car crash a couple of years ago and had hair-line fractures on both knee caps (the most common cause of injury for tall people), haven't been the same since.

Ouch. I just have destroyed muscles - I'm unable to walk today, for instance. Nothing broken though, that my doctor knows of.

No idea, not overweight though; and no.
I just occasionally get the leg-cramps-from-hell which mean that I can't walk. I can kinda shuffle around short distances, but thats all.
All back to normal again today though.
Same here, all fine, but once in a while i feel pain in my knee caps, which really does hurt, but my girlfriend broke every bone in her hand, and it's a whole inch shorter than it use to be, now that is pain.
