Most dissapointing re-mixes that I was looking forward too when I heard they were to be single releases have to be 'World' & 'Someone like you'. Maybe if we get enough views a overall Best and Worst mixes will turn up...

Without constructing complete lists, your choices on Spooky and Crystal are pretty much the opposite of mine.

Agree on Confusion; agree on SLY disappointment but not World.

One of my fav's is the Subculture remix that came on a vinylsingle free with some English magazine. The offical Confusion ones(that is the B-sides of the 12 inch.)

The ones i don't like are todays ones done by Flee Combes or wath the fuck these arses are calling themselves.I find them most unnecessary and time-waisting, eventhough i am a great dancer!!

The B&M remix of Touched on Rest Of is one of the better ones. I also like a lot of the ones on Substance Abuse.

Am I the only fan of Blue Monday 88? It's slightly butchered compared to the original, but has its charms!

I am unable to listen to ANY version of BM, including the original.

Mario how right you are! The Record Mirror mix of Sub-Culture is the best available. It's the definitive version if you ask me. The pump panel mix of Confusion is not as good as some of the older mixes. Original Extended is great as is the Con om...mix and the DMC mix and the Rough mix and...you get my drift.

Is that the only place thie remix of Subculture appeared? It's not credited to anybody or named?

The only information I have is that it's the Record Mirror mix. It sounds like it could have been a different take from the album sessions, no female vocals.

Well I can only nominate about half a dozen good ones because with remixes, there are often too many to have time to sit through and as we know that can get a bit tedious, especially when it's obvious that most of the mixes will be pretty bad anyway.

Have to change my point of view on Lee combs...that is allowed isn't it? After various listening sessions involving consuming lots amounts of blah blah blah i have come to the conclusion that Lee's crystal mix is ....fookin' A!!!

There have been some darn good mixes over the years: Bizarre Dub Triangle Paradise Remix True Faith Remix from '87 Kiss of Death Sub-Culture Record Mirror Mix Ruined in a Day - Reunited in a Day K Klass Confused Beats The Beach World - the long perfecto mix and dub version Run 2 with the Afrika Islam drums The 12" of Round&Round with the additional intrumental bit at the start There's a great version of World in Motion from the 2nd remix 12" but I can't recall what its called The Spooky remixes by Fluke were pretty cool Regret Fire Island and how can I forget the sublime Evil Dust

The worst, almost everything post '93 with special mentions to:

1963 - Not exactly a massive chart hit True Faith - why bother? Nearly all of the Rest of LP - no make that all of The Rest Of LP, one the most pointless releases of all time All the mixes of Crystal, 60MPH and SLY - who the fuck are these people?

Notwithstanding the above but the overall loser has to be the reggae mixes of Ruined - was that done as a joke?

I thought WIM was just a bit better than Del Amitri though? :)
