...still discussing about the "60 mph" singles, i thought about which NewOrder CD-single is really worth the money...
my choices:
Round&Round (b/w Best&marsh, Vanishing P. Instr., extended Version)
Fine Time (if only for "Don't do it")
Crystal CD1 (if only for "Behind Closed Doors)
the digipack magimixes off technique were pretty good value for money and nicely packaged.
Spooky has some especially good remixes on it.
I dont mind paying 2 or 3 quid for any Single which has a proper bside on. Likewise if it's got a half decent remix on, such as Lee Coombs' then I think its worth it.
the first "Ruined in a day" isn't too bad.
the ambient mix is quite nice and vicious circle could be worse...
True Fat CD-V (as in Compact Disk Video). Gold disk that could be played on a CD-Video player which also had 1 re-mix and is the only commercially released product with 'Evil Duster' on it... which I think is quite groovy goulies.
Post-Republican the CD singles (like the new Star Wars toys) became far too many, far too ubiquitous and far too pippy long stocking.
I liked the US Crystal...but that crap that was pawned on me for 60 pounds of bile in one hour, utter shite...
So, ahem, what I was saying is that the Crystal single was well worth it.

It wasn't really though was it?... after all, it was a poorly edited album version (so nothing new) and 10 re-mixes of fruitless worker ants lost in the desert sea, one is for you and 2 is for thee.
...why not releasing a b-sides album ???

Okay...okay...you were right Huntsman, it really wasn't worth it either, I'm so blinded by my disappointment in 60 that I can't see the forest for all the trees...
I guess the last of their singles came out that gave me much of a kick in the ass was when Blue Monday 88 came out, and that was just because it had Touched By The Hand of Dog on it.
(and I didn't pay for it, I shoplifted it from Wal-mart. What an awful boy I used to be!)

Hunto for once i'm gonna disagree thoroughly. The Radio edit of Crystal was ok - functional.It made a good taster for the album. Certainly better than the 60mph Butchery. And Behind Closed doors itself was worth the £3
And 10 remixes? you're playing silly beggars aren't you? Just coz you don't like the Lee Coombs mix doesn't mean it was a bad mix - comments of this site prove this.

Snake do you know what's mildly amusing... that I actually prefer the Radio edit of Crystal to the album version! (shock! horror!) - sorry Patty. I'm not sure why I posted that I thought it was tapper, maybe I was venting my anger at the re-mixes which appeared alongside the CD's. When all said and presumably not done I thought the 3 CD combo was a belter of a release... DVD of the Crystal video, single release, Behind Clothes Shops, a few tit bits and some nice packaging.
In view of this Snake we officially have never disagreed openly about things now... that's not to say I wouldn't jump out of my rocking chair at the opportunity to disagree about anything with you... including your disgraceful fashion sense.

So Patrick...I'm going to venture a guess and say that we must have just slightly different releases of this one...I never realized that mine was a Canadian release until today...see what happens when Jeff reads...
I think I have thought of one functional use for the Supermen Lovers remix of 60...I might be able to get them to play it on Trash Disco evenings out at the dance hall...
I will always buy every single, so they are all worth it. If a blank CD was released that said 'new order - silence' on it, i'd buy it.

Thankl God i've got them all and on vinyl(untill world in motion) so i don't have to bother my brains with this question. But i understand Marco you are probably reefering to all the re-mixes.That is hard, although i used to just buy anything that came out with a Factory number.

I fully agree with you ,Marco, on the remix-shit! Still, i couldn't resist the temptation, so i've ordered both 60mph singles... I have been listening to some of the DJmixes in the audiofiles, and for bandwidthsakes:ERASE THEM!!!

As you know Huntsy, I don't own even a single item by the Order, not even 'Dogfight'(??). However if I too had the cdv type thingy to which you refer, I think we would be the only two I know of who had that delightful little gem. It must be worth a pretty penny by now methinks! 
Well, I didn't know that the True Faith CD-V is that rare. But they're selling it at ebay.de and it actually stands at app. 33US$... and still one day to go. So, I'm happy to own this one. Evil Dust is really a great track. And the CD-V cost me about 9US$ back in 1987. Thinking of the 60mpH singles which cost the same and have those incredibly idiotic remixes on it, I feel a bit ripped off. 60mpH CD#2 isn't really worth a penny, even the artwork gets a bit boring. But sure, I bought it (BTW where can you buy the NewOrder-single with silence on it?).
I'd buy all CDs reguardless inc. the DVD's but value for money... hmmm Spooky (std release)& Crystal CD1 or 2 are my choice as for the inferior edit version mentioned, personally I think the LP version is very long winded has the worst intro I think I've ever heard to a song, lose the female whine at the start. Technique mix releases where good but rather just extended versions. best LP by far Lets face it we are all musically listening different, but I don't think there is a CD that I could not pull out and dislike every Mix/track, be it a Bside I like better than the Aside (Sabotage - fantastic!)
I love NEW ORDER, but the records / cd's are tame, there like pussy cats, but live there awesome give me a live cd any day.
