My favourite NO song is Everythings Gone Green but the version on The Rest Of New Order is rats. Whats it ment to be some hardcore you know the score shite for dickhead kids? I can't remember who did the remix but they want a kicking for committing this atrocity to such a classic. Bastards!!
Worst Ever New Order Remix

Nothing can beat those 1963'95 remixes. I'd rather watch Liverpool for 90 minutes than listen to those atrocities
Ruined in a day was indeed ruined by those sly & robbie reggae mixes. It totally lost the essence of the track.
worst remixes??? ......hm.........
- Ruined in a day (sly&robbie shit from CD2)
- Everything's Gone Green (Advent/Dave Clarke)
- 1963 (those from the '95 CD-single)
:(
oh...another chance for me to piss and moan about 60 smiles devoured...
Supermen Lovers remix...what the hell is that supposed to be?
As if by magicians New Order have already grasped the opportunity to release a 'worst re-mix' album... it's called 'The Rest of New Order', available at all good stockists. Some truly outstanding efforts are herein contained that could bring an avid New Order fan to tears within seconds. One song in particular 'Age of Sexual Consent' bears almost no resemblance to the original song and truth be told, I had to check the track listings at most stages just to ensure I was listening to the right song.
Perhaps they should have called this release:
'The Wank of New Order'

but hey, that's just a suggestion.
actually Huntsman...shouldn't it be called...okay, just so we can get more of you 17 new order fans money, here is a steaming pile of shit that you will buy just because it says new order on the label...

I'm sure it wasn't New Orders idea. Your right though, bar 2 or 3 it was a shocker. My personal hate was that BLT mix

Exactly, the Lionrock mix in particular being the biggest sinner. btw - I think the Rest of album is pretty good. The only duff mixes are the Age of Consent and BLT ones. The TBTHOG one has scientifically been proved to be the best NO remix ever. At first I thought the Connfusion mix was a pile of poo but I reappraised it after watching Blade at the cinema. Crivvens, my popcorn went everywhere after that came on.

i don't mind that TBTHOG mix in itself but it bears no relation to the original. Thats why it shouldn't really be on there. it did sound pretty good in Blade though as you say
oh fuck your right. Stress of woek and everything. TBTHOG was crap as well mind. :o
maybe I should just go back to arguing about football.

Fair point, well made and it's basically my whole problem with remixes these days.
A remix is supposed to take the best hooks out of a song and create something new and exciting yet an obvious reinterpretation of the song. Can't be arsed with the lazy bastards nowadays who take one of their reject dance tunes and add on the vocal mix to let you know what the original song is. This applies to all the Get Ready remixes I've heard. I mean is it just me, or would it not be a good idea to actually do something with Hooky's basslines and include them in the mix?
Please, Seb, don't go back to arguing about football. That was the most boring thread for me that has ever appeared on this board.
...the "best" of the rest of mixes to me is the Shep Pettibone "True Faith" remix, cos he didn't change too much of the instrumentation...the rest is CRAP!

Cheers mate. I have left my legacy. Can't imagine you'd appreciate sitting in my living come Saturday afternoon then.

oh come now...you can't tell me you don't dig the piano portion of Regret (Fire Island mix)...
I'd just like to add my backing to the hate campaign growing for the brutal destruction of BL&Tomato on 'The Wank of New Order'.
Utterly filthy badger.

Well, Seb, who knows, but people talking about teams I know nothing about in a sport I really know nothing about was not fun reading.

Its quite possibly the worst sound i have ever heard and i once heard a dog get hit by a combine harvester.

You're saying you don't dig the 1963-95 version?? I just bought "Best Of" a few days ago and I think I actually prefer it to the original one on Substance 1987. The cello sounds good.

Michelle my Bell I also enjoy the 1995 Bakers Dozen mix of 1953... it has a lot of worth and don't be afraid to go against the crowd on this site... it always makes it a nicer place when a decent fight breaks about betwixt men and cats.

Were the any Norwegians holding recording devices present?

I Think it was the hideous dance remixes that people are offended by not the rather pleasant Arthur Baker 63'95 mix.

I feel like a naughty schoolboy whose just been sent to see the headmaster.
It was all Hanks fault anyway.

I just thought room 101 was looking more appealing,What with Kylie already in and the possibilty that Anfield was being relocated.
The troops have come home, Huntsy. They arrived about half an hour ago.
I didn't mean to chastize you, Seb. I just felt very left out.

About as appealing as cold sick with bits of kebab in.
UPS..........MISUNDERSTANDING !!!
i do like the Arthur Baker 1995 remix! but the rest, those "Lionthrottle ping pong whatever" crap... i'd rather listen to Creed instead... :(
The regret (new order mix) is halfway through...but that's all...
cheers.

For a second there I thought you might not have liked the Baker mix Marco... it's a goo djob you cleared that up. Surely this goes to show how confusing it is keeping up with all of these shit re-mixes. Isn't it easier to say, for e.g. Blue Moonday, instead of the Blue Monday released in 1987 on a ltd. edition label with 15 re-mixes by unheard of artist Dj's in residence etc. etc.

Just count yourself lucky I havent found any fellow Cricket fans yet
You know, Seb, I can sort of understand people being interested in football; it looks like it's fast, people running around a lot, etc. But cricket? I can't even begin to understand.

The whole essence is that is a slower pace. More thought and tactical. Strangely, and I'm surely many would disagree, but a bit similar to US Football
