Blue Monday - Should it have been called the beach

I have an original release of Blue Monday 12", but the labels are reversed, the beach label being on the Blue Monday side. Someone once told me this was an error made during production which only become noticed after it was released for sales and became known as Blue Monday, so production was changed to make the labels reflect what we know now. As the original sleeve contains no words to identify it (how many other bands would have used a computer disk as a sleeve model), could this be true?

The letter A alongside the text where it says Blue Monday, which corresponds with the letter B alongside the text where it says The Beach.......

might be a dumb question, but i dunno the answer which is why ppl ask questions. anyhoo, what was the story behind video 586? that 20 minute instrumental i have on cd which sounds live, and someone who is not a trustworhty source told me it was the blueprint for blue monday. is that true?

...oook, I think I get your question, but lemme just see if I've got this right:

your copy of Blue Monday has the labels flipped. a friend of yours said that technically, your copy is not faulty, b/c originally "Blue Monday" was titled "the Beach" and vice-versa... but so many copies of the release were erroneously labeled (where Blue Monday wasn't called the instrumental), that NO simply decided to switch around the titles?

...I dunno, I think that's a bit unlikely - although feasible. I would have thought, though, that someone f/ NO would have mentioned it - like with the title correction (I forget which track) on Retro.

(edit) and about 586, if you listen to the version on "Power, Corruption & Lies" you'll hear a lot of the same sounds as on Blue Monday...
