There's a pretty good interview with New Order in the September issue of Mojo magazine. It's about 12 pages long, and has them talking about their career from Joy Division, right through to the present day, and an interview with Martin Hannett from 1989.

In the actual album review, that reviewer doesn't like it, but the vast majority of the Mojo guys *do* like it. From page 89, it's at number 3 on the Mojo Stereo:
"The office consensus maintains that New Order's first album in eight years is a 'grower'. In contrast to the pallid Republic, it sounds as though they've come back hungry this time, perhaps re-energised by the enthusiastic approval of younger generations. Certainly Billy Corgan hasn't been involved in anything so good for a long time and the muscular jousting is a joy to behold. Not everyone round here agrees, though... (See review, p108)"
So, most of them seem to like the album!!

But the reviewer did seem to think Republic was a bit of a classic - the most un-neworder-like of all neworder albums. So little wonder they didn't take to the bass-heavy Get Ready.
Just got round to buying my copy of Mojo. Q mag as well.In Q it says that Jeremy Vine of Newsnight interviewed N.O. for The Big Issue,out on August 27th. Can't wait for that one!!
