love it...

totally new order...

and much better than 'pacific' -

then again, I live a mile from the Atlantic (the western side), so I may be biased....

suitably . . . spacious:thumb:

If that is the real title though... there is maybe more probability that Love Vigilantes will be a hidden track on it... ;)

Sounds like a New Order album title to me, but I hope they come to the Pacific once more before they hang it up.

Sounds shite to me. Not dark enough. But, of course, after Technik, Republik and Get Red Dick, it would be perfik.

I'm still dissapointed that Get Ready wasn't called "Despot-led former socialist state", in keeping with "Republic".

Otherwise, Atlantic will have to do...

I like that title. It's very New Orderish and I like how it isn't a light or dark sounding title. It makes me want to hear the new music even more.

I like it too. Is this genuinely the title then???

I don't know where people got the idea this was the title of the new New Order album............I never said it was!

I don't care if this is the new album title or not. I don't approve the title "ATLANTIC" for any artist, especially New Order. Do they try to play new Europeans or what? They'd better not.

Anyone got any idea what this was supposed to mean in English?

So I guess the answer is here ...

I think he may be declaring the Atlantic Ocean as the 51st state.

This thread's taken on a life of its own hasn't it?? I think it would be a good title so they'll have to come up with something better or i'll be 'tres' disappointed and that'll never doXxx

Atlantic is a good name. Many meanings for that ocean from the tropics to the cold waters up north that many a brave person lost their life in. England's ocean home, Western Europe's ocean, east coast US's vast view.

what are the connetations?

grey and the same in every direction as far as the eye can see.

so, no.

Would it make a difference if it was called "Those magnificant artists and their flying drum machines"? "Atlantic" shouldn't get people disappointed or angry. Were some of the naysayers here hoping for a title that had been overlooked in music production all this time and would change the way we listened to the actual music? If it IS the title for the album, we haven't heard the reason for it (if there is one). Also, I doubt people are going to refrain from buying a New Order album because it is called "Atlantic".

I think it's a really good title anyway, I hope the new material is as interesting.

I think it's a very New Order sounding album title... much better than 'Get Ready', one of the cheesiest album titles I possess. Couldn't care less though really as long as the album's great, Get Ready did disappoint me slightly though!

As long as the actual music that appears on it is inspired more by the 'Manchester Ship Canal' than the 'Atlantic', I'll be happy.

and where do you get all this information from???

Is Bernard going to try to become an MP? Wouldn't that interfere with his yachting? Steven might loan himself out as mechanized infantry, if it means he gets to play with his tanks.

You don't have to be Canadian do be prime minister here. I guess you could say Bernard Sumner could "Run" for that position.....I digress.

Good title, hope the single comes out soon!

Spike I have one concer about your appoitments, I think traing would be need for Gillian to do the dishes, it is a very complicated task. Unless you provided a dishwasher and showed her how to open the door. :evil4:
