Well, being that I live here in the midwest there are none. I would assume that across the pond has a lot more. I know there are members here that are in one. Just wondering what kind of response you get when playing a gig? Also, how many of you would go to see a tribute band? I definitely would. Best thing we have had here even close was a JD listening party at a bar. Which was just cool to have that.

Are there any here in the U.S.? Maybe Dallas or something?

I myself in a Tribute band, But i write my own stuff with my band. We cover New Dawn Fades, Ceremony, Disorder, and if where feeling good, Love will tear us apart, we dont get much cheering for LWTUA though, they tend to look at it as a gay(gay as in teen terms, such as its stupid) song, which they think we wrote but we didnt lol people dont know or understand true music today...

Is this the same Ceremony you were asking instructions on how to play last week? You must be like us!

Amazing the give you looks for LWTUA and not the rest. I would think most would know that song over any other JD song.

I am not in a "cover band", but I do play in an up-in-coming (I think...) all-original band in Chicago. I joined the band through an ad over the summer when they requested a keyboardist that can mimic the "Manchester" sound...I instantly thought, "New order!" and jumped at the chance....

Anyway, we have been gigging quite a bit lately and at the conclusion of our last gig, I was paid the ultimate compliment by several people in attendance who told me that I add a "NewOrder-esque" sound to the songs. (I play keyboards/synth) I have been smiling ear to ear since... This, of course, made me very happy since NewOrder, obviously, is my favorite band of all time. I seriously was not trying to be like new order, but for some reason the influences come out and I just cannot help it.

My next goal; (my bandmates don't know it yet) is to write a song that has a "temptation" vibe to it...

Without being shameless, I will not post any information about the band unless people are actually interested. It seems that people get flamed on this board when they try to promote their band. If you are interested, just throw the word out and I will post it...we have a gig in january, and we might do a gig in December...

I'm interested so long as you don't forget this site if and when you make it big. ;)

There was a tribute band one time of Joy Division, it included a band member to red hot Chilli Peppers and some other 2 members.;)
