Which type of new album do you want?

Double album for me only because singles and B-sides are hard to find here :(

Is 20 tracks enough for a double album? Most albums have around 14 tracks nowdays anyway. I`d like a single album,with a couple of non-album singles,like the good old days! :D

Nail on the head.

Double album = commercial suicide, unless we're speaking of double albums in the pre-CD form, in which case it would be of 70-80 minutes of length, and therefore fit to a single CD.

I also don't believe NO having enough quality material to really make up for a consistent double album. I still voted for it though, it would be cheaper to get all the stuff that way than having it all scattered on a shorter album and various singles. ;)

Doulble album, singles with remixes or tracks from older albums (ala Faithless). I hate non-album tracks on singles.

I don't think all those tracks would be surely finished, sometimes they may be variations for the same track or some just get discarded. Does anyone know for the previous albums when they announced a certain ammount of tracks if they were all released in that album and related singles/b-sides?

You're probably right, but we don't know if there are 20 *finished* ideas. I hope so, but I would not be that optimist. Do you know how many "ideas" were announced by them to have for Get Ready?

How about a double album with singles that include both B-sides and remixes? Or is that being greedy?

An 8 track album like in the good old days. Plus 4 non-album singles with 2 B-side tracks each. That'll make 20 tracks, I think.

a double album for me perhaps a limited edition box set and a standard release. but i'll still be (rather sadly!) buying whatever they put out in every format! regards

A single album, around 9 tracks (quality, not quantity boys), with a bonus DVD with live snippits (81-02), 3 non-album singles with 2 B-Sides and a couple of remixes.

Six quality tracks , a knockout single and a farewell tour.

A vinyl only release, with multi layered colour splatter all over it...and only available as a promo distributed to special djs like COC ..now then

i got with the first choice, since i feel like it. lol

Anything as long as it has a good quantity of good NEW songs, I'm fed up of all the best of, rest of retro international albums packaging the same songs in a different order so OCD completeists like myself end up buying them to ensure they have the entire collection.

A double would be great, especially if it means there'll be a bit of experimentation. This is probably too much to hope for at this stage, but it would be great to hear them strip away a few layers of polish, ditch the 'guest stars' and really surprise us.

Double albums are great - all the consistency talk is bollocks IMHO, let's hear people taking a few risks, stretching out a bit in the tradition of great doubles like Tago Mago, Sandinista (triple!), The White Album, Sign of The Times etc etc.

I really doubt they have it in them anymore though.

Think we`d all settle for an album that was released on time rather than 6 months late! :)
