Remix of Hybrid track with Hooky's bass better audible than the original

I was surprised when I was listening to one more remix of Hybrid's track featuring Peter Hook - Higher Than A Skyscraper with the fact that it had Hooky's bass guitar more audible than the original track on the album .Almost a "solo" in the middle of the track. It's Satoshi Tomiie Remix. Has anyone noticed that?

In fact the part I'm saying is far 5:20 on the track.

Can't say I'd noticed to be honest. Having never heard the track I wouldn't, really. Good spot though, unless you've just been playing with the balance on your speakers!

I agree that the original track is very good. I had the chance to listen to some other versions and almost every remix I've heard do preserve Hooky's bass guitar. And it is not so usual in remixes, as Hooky himself has said.

i've got the Orb Mix, the Freq Nasty mix and the Hybrid, Twitch Mix and they've all got their moments. Quite a quality dance single actually, compared to the usual boring reworks. I'd love to hear that Satoshie Tomei mix though. He's done some wicked remix work. Any chance of you posting that mix somewhere?

It wasn't on the original release, but came out a couple of months ago as part of Hybrid's "Y4K" mix CD. It was also released on a limited edition 12" picture disc at the same time.
