80 minutes

Hi, I've been following this board for a bit now, but this is my first post. I started getting into NO about 18 months ago, and am now totally hooked...

Aaanyway, this may have been done before, but: I've been trying to make a CD, a perfect representation of New Order (for myself and to play to others). So I was wondering, what would be your ideal 80 minute compilation of New Order tracks? The track order is obviously important (you've read High Fidelity, right?). I worked one out for myself, so I'll post it later. Thanks!

We've all had a go at these types of compilations before I'd guess, I know I have several such CDs for when Retro is wrong, Substance doesn't cut it for a particular mood etc etc. Then again, I rarely listen to New Order on record these days!

Here's today's mood compilation:

strangely enough, the set I am working on sequencing for a Digital show next year!

Not sure if that fits on one cd, but close enough....What you put looks like a great set though, would love to hear that played. So when's the US tour coming.... just kidding. Can't wait for a uk tour, then I get my 1st taste of NO live.

A long time ago, pre-Get Ready, I made a New Order Fundamentals CDR for my girlfriend and her friend. Here's the tracklisting:

Today, I'd probably replace True Faith with True Faith-94, and TBTHOG with an edit of Crystal (Lee Coombs Remix). And maybe replace WiM or BM with Here To Stay.

I did a 90 minute tape for the car back when REPUBLIC was released - it was along the lines of two fave tracks from each album plus singles and b-sides and ran thus:

side a THIEVES LIKE US DREAM ATTACK YOUNG OFFENDER 1963 AS IT IS WHEN IT WAS DOUBTS EVEN HERE THIS TIME OF NIGHT YOUR SILENT FACE WORLD IN MOTION

Then, when I got a CD burner (and car with a CD player!), I knocked up a CDR from the above tracks (+ CRYSTAL):

I wasn't 100% happy with it though so I keep meaning to do another one when I've decided where to put SUNRISE - which was only dropped because I had it kicking off my various artists favourite all time tracks compilation...!!!
