  1. 'Teenagers from Hell' featured a group of english 'Nu Goths' partying while their mum was out:laugh:, one of whom was wearing an unknown pleasures T shirt - talk about bringing JD into disrepute!

  2. 'Property Ladder' (featuring the well-endowed Sarah Beeney) had a house with a very nice montage of Peter saville 'leaves', per the True Faith cover, done in a 'warhol' style with different colours.

beat that for observation

Blue Monday featured in "Teachers" on Tuesday night, playing at the end-of-term disco in the sports hall (I think?). It followed 'Cars' by Gary Numan - cue shots of daft kids running around and one attempting a 'robot' dance.

Happens right at the beginning, it's repeated on C4 tonight ... er, if anyone's sad enough to watch it just for that!

Joy Division were an answer on University Challenge. The team was played three clips, and had to name the group and the band member that died young. The other two answers were The Who / Keith Moon and Nirvana / Kurt Cobain.

Bizarrely, nobody got the starter for 10, which was The Rolling Stones / Brian Jones. Honestly, kids...

Despite my recent low profile, I still enjoy logging on and checking out what's new on NOOL.

Many things change.

Some remain constant.
