Report from the Daily Star stated that out of a poll of magazine editors and various scribes "Get Ready" was voted 2nd most critically acclaimed album of the year, being narrowly beaten by The Strokes, The Avalanches came 3rd. Last years winner was Kid A by Radiohead.
