I have read it, it's pretty good, but most of the stuff has been covered before. To be fair the author did get interviews with the band so there are some new quotes / stories in there.

It's definitely worth buying, espescially if you like sessionography and gigography information, this slightly cuts up the story though. There are a few mistakes in it as well, such as Procession / EGG coming in only 3 colours.....Rocket Mick has 6 bootlegs then:lol:

The good thing about new books about joydivision/neworder is that once you start reading you start digging out all your own cuttings and records to read or play them again.

I've read it too. Not a fan of the style of writing at all, starts off okay, but then ends up being little more than a whole collection of lists. Got quite into it early on but found myself skipping whole chunks late on.

Not sure who this should appeal to - new-found fans might struggle, and the majority of people here will have read it all before. Only thing I remember reading that I didn't know was Deborah Curtis coming home and wondering what Ian was doing leaning on their washing machine, which sounded quite shocking and a bit too personal.

Written by the same bloke who did User's Guide To The Fall, which was a decent enough book trying to sort out their bewildering back catalog. Not sure if NO needs the same kind of treatment, but I'm sure I'll buy it anyway.

Allan, if you buy it, will you photocopy each page and send it to me?

We all know what a cheap bastard I am!!!
