Probably be Blue Monday, as that is what they'll play in 5th Av. :(

Even if they are looking for the populist vote, they could play true faith at least. Love Will tear Us Apart will get its traditional airing as well.

Fuck knows. First tune I will play in 2005 will be The Libertines' "What A Waster" probably, followed by whatever's after it on the CD.

Almost certainly the 12" of Everything's Gone Green, on repeat play, at very loud volume, gotta make sure I knock all of the dust off the pictures.

upon further review...I've got no idea!

Gangster. It begins my mp3 playlist on my computer, so I'll probably be listening to that tomorrow night.

Bentley's remix of Nemesis' cover of Crystal.. that one I'm sure only 4 people can listen to it :evil4:

Oh well, don't know... random playlist will decide!

Someone Like You Futureshock Stripdown Mix....because its got a good beat and you could dance to it:beer:

That Confusion Pump Panel thingy cos it starts a New Order playlist on me MP3. Failing that, 1963, just cos it's the first track if I just hit 'New Order'

I just picked a random CD from my bootleg case. The first song played in 2005 was "Confusion", from the second disc of the Haçienda July '83 gig.

Hello, hope you enjoy yourself around here. I'm sure you will, this place has real character :)

As for the first NO song played in 2005, i haven't listened to any yet because i'm still feeling a bit dodgy from last night.

I can't remember but I think mine may have been I'VE GOT A COCK LIKE THE M1. Although the first one I listened to when I woke up was CEREMONY.

:hi: Welcome, Gabrielle! Always nice to see new people joining up. Enjoy yourself here!

As for my first NO tune of 2005, haven't listened to any yet; I'm only just getting round to listening to the new CDs I got for Chrimble.

Here To Stay Extended Instrumental, played by me in a crappy rural club a few minutes after midnight over a distorted to death sound system with the worst lighting control unit I've ever used. The air was very, very cold and damp which seemed to help the sound a bit though.

Idiot country was the first song of 2005, although the first actual New Order song was Ceremony.

Well, on New Year's Eve me and my girl went to a friend's house after seeing the fireworks at Copacabana Beach to smoke a joint and celebrate the new year... :smoker: :\party:

The guy had tons of vinyls and said to me "pick one, dude". One of the first on line was "Substance". Gave it to him and said "play TPK".

What an excellent start for a new year.

Oh, and it was followed by Young Offender because I forgot to change disc. Not really even close to dance, but still sounded great in the club atmosphere.

Mine was "The Peter Saville Show Soundtrack" as I was at home with my family for new year and it's amazing "background music for small gatherings" I've found :) My eldest brother continually takes the piss out of my enduring fandom for New Order i.e. "They've got ANOTHER album coming out?? Christ, they should be OLD Order by now" (Yes, my sides split at that one :uhoh: ) But upon hearing the nice ambient tones of T.P.S.S.S. he commented "That's quite cool, who's that? I wouldn't mind a copy" and I pointed out "It's New Order, you gimp"

New Order: 1, My brother: 0!

Aside from that, I gave my iPod based copy of the Round & round CD single a good listen on the 1st. The Making Out mix of Vanishing point is quite cool, as is the Hauge 12" mix of R&r. I'm definitely in a Technique-ey mood for the start of '05. Very glad to see the back of '04 for numerous sad reasons and I really hope '05 is better for myself, and everyone here at NOOL.

Happy new year everyone! :thumb:

I believe I played She's Lost Control on my six-string bass at some point this weekend. And then Ceremony or Dreams Never End, probably. As It Is When It Was, definitely. But I don't remember what order.

Temptation (Substance Version). I recorded it for a friend, and wanted to listen to it again after she told me how much she loved it. I was reminded immediately, as to just why I had to include it. :)
