 nearly 2005 which is 20 years since Low - Life which i kind of think of as the album that crystalized and was the epicentre of my New Order obsession- that era.More so than later triumphs like Technique.1985 New Order were still on a different planet.Still mysterious yet embracing the current club sounds but at the same time being light years ahead of those sounds and above it all not GIVING A FUCK.Impossible to describe to the current generation what New Order were back then but then times change.

I know what you mean!!! Low-Life was the NO album that started it all for me as well; it's hard to believe that I have followed a band for more than half my life.

Maybe we shouldn't dwell on that particular point quite so much.

More recently Get Ready had a similar effect in terms of re-energizing my interest in NO music.

Time is going to quick recently, it's bloody scary. I turned 18, it's half way through this decade (2005). Woah!

And what is this decade supposed to be called, anyway? I still feel like we're back in the '90s.

Noughties. Shite name, eh?

I still feel like its the 1990's too. Then again, I still *dress* like its the 1990's, or at the very latest mid to late 2001.

I last changed my hair cut around 2001, so its still short and the sides and back, spiky and blocky on top, bleached.

Oh, and I didn't mentally connect with the decade being half-over. Damn, I feel old (and I'm younger than you).

I remember purchasing the lp. Had to pick up the future Mrs. Twist so I could not listen to it immediately.
