Here I’ll reveal you some moves that the New Order management / their recording company may do in this year:

February 2005 = The new single. March 2005 = The new album. April - June 2005 = Some gigs around England May 2005 = A new single off the LP (with an extra B-side song). July - August 2005 = A brief American Tour August 2005 = The third single off the album. October - November 2005 = A brief European Tour. December 2005 = A DVD release of all videos (promo ones and selected live performances 81-2005). February 2006 = Something new (like a new single, an EP, playing in a movie, or a scandal). Summer 2007 = A first one in the series of CD re-releases of the eight albums.

I like the idea of three months worth of gigs around Blighty - April-June.

American tour though?! Now, I know you're just making it up!

Have you had word from them? or is this just speculation (and a little wishful thinking)

So then hopefully they will gig in Dublin on 9th May (my birthday) because they will be too out of it to realise that Dublin isnt in England. Followed by another Dublin gig in October, when they realise that its in Europe!:D:thumb:

I can hope

That's inaccurate. Nu Ordah will be playing in Brazil at that time, in the same festival that brought Pixies (see my avatar). It was supposed to be a secret among Brazilians but I think you should know too.

As long as they play Dublin or Manchester some time AFTER the leaving cert (early june) I'll be happy

Theres a lot of rumours here that they'll do Oxegen 2005 - the main stage, last act on the first night is always a 'resurrected' act - The Cure in 2004.

Actually, the Cure played the first night and before the Strokes.

Why in gods name would New Order play oxegen? So they stand there in front of a load of irish bratty teenagers (conor back me up here) and be ignored? We all saw what happenned when they supported the Chilis in Dublin. Thats what will happen again.

I would say that over there, New Order would barely sell out the olympia. and that would only because most people on this board will go.

if they do festivals, and its a big IF, then my hunch is they'll do the Isle of Wight, Glasto, and Move. and a few continental europe ones maybe.

Indeed, they may appear at one of continental festivals. I'm not sure if there is something like that over here in the states that can attract them. :uhoh:

How 'bout the BDO 2006 or 2007 in Oz and a few regional Aussie gigs (Woolongong/Canberra/Townsville, etc)?

Teletext have been reporting on the album every week, namimg it as a major release for 2005. The timing of the release is bang on for a festival appearance-Glastonbury is most likely, because its the earliest one,and would be around June-which would be the time of the second single,if march is right for the first. A third single would depend on how well the second one does-60mph wasnt that sucsessful, hence no third single from Get Ready.

Hm... no third single off "Get Ready"? What about "Someone Like You"? I know it's a sort of a promo release, but still it has its proper release number and a decent cover artwork. And some work had been done on the remixes.

Hope they dont do Oxygen - or any outdoor crap - I want to see them in the Point (or back at the SFX even) - somewhere that I can q up for early & be up front under the stage getting spat at by Hooky (or something like that).

Lansdowne Road was a disaster - allmost a waste of time going to see them - I dont want to go through that again!

Here's hoping that if that DVD does happen it gets a Region 1 release...

For some reason I believe that the Order will spend 6 months in Oz doing the pub & club circuitt. Inc 3 weeks in Canberra. They won't be doing anything else. :D

I thought the b-side was Sabotage :D (the Someone Like You remixes were added just to fill the maxi-single release), while the third single consisted of entirely SMY. The similar thing was with Ruined In A Day & World which were both mixtures of remixes of the both songs. Anyway, it's not a question of principle to me, coz like I said SMY was not a marketed release ;)

Ah,i see where the confusion is now-we dont have these 'maxi-single' things in the uk. So with the band being british,i just assumed what we got was right. 2 cd singles, both with remixes of SLY on plus 'Sabotage'. I dont know how your charts work state side,do you have a singles chart?

Never understood why you get 2 singles on one release (Blue Monday 88 included TBTHOG and World included k.klass mix of Ruined).

Its the same in Germany-they released Regret & Ruined in a Day as a double A Side single (complete with surfer sleeve, but with Regret typograph-fuckin weird!).
