What do you think should be the name of this new band with Phil Cunilingham?

We all know that after they lost Ian, Gillian has joined the band but they did change the name to New Order. So what do you think should be the name of this new band now that Gillian has supposed left the band forever and Phil Cunilingham is an official member?

How about "New Order" ?:skeptic:

It's not like Bernard will let him write lyrics or melodies anyways...

well, New Order was named before Gillian officially joined.

So, New Order is really Bernard, Hook, and Stephen.

They have other musicians join them from time to time....

:)

no need for a name change... nobody died...

i don't suppose he could have any real inspiration, hailing from oswaltwistle.

Why can you say that Phil will not write lyrics or melodies? All the former members (including Gillian) did write New Order tracks. For an example, there is an early demo of Vanishing Point that has most instrumental elements of the final track and it was made by Gillian and Steve. If he is really an official NO member, get your ears ready for Phil's tracks!

Well, apparently, according to many here, Bernard has always been running the show, so he's the creative member of New Order. I can't say otherwise. Lyrics is a sure thing, as for music, I have no idea how they work.

But I remember reading that Phil was helping them with the music... not just as a session musician, but in the arrangements I guess.

I doubt they have worked on one of Phil's demo... :confused2:

I guess we'll never see the light of "Run Run Run" and the collaboration with New Order.
