Its one howler of a title this,i hope its only a working title cos its shite! Makes the album title sound mature. I also hope its not trying to sound ypung and hip and they`ve lost all their senses! Krafty? Kunts!

I don't see the difference from the Get Ready tour, Phil's with the band since 2001. Most people here must feel very happy that it's not Billy Corgan ;)

I personally am delighted to learn that Phil is now an official member of the band, after watching the 5 11 performance.

Does this mean Phil will now DANCE?

What's wrong with Phil being an official member of New Order now? Seeing him on stage in 2001 was a bigger shock than his recent "promotion". Phil needs a better haircut, but he's a good chap. ;)

stupid names for albums and songs...but if it sounds good, who the fook cares? after all, most new order titles have nothing to do with anything.

As long as they don't take 6 months to release it in the U.S., I'll be happy

I'm very happy with the single title, especially if it is a very electronic based song. Can't wait!

For some reason, I'm remided of an old Beastie Boys' song.

I guess if the track is a bit cheesy it'll be forever doomed to be remembered as a Kraft Single.

*cough cough*

The other aspect is that it's a little close to Krafty Kuts, the festival-headlining breakbeat merchant. Perhaps Lee Coombs has been in the picture again.

hmmmm...not a fan of either the album title or the song...I'm inclined to agree with the comment about Gretton making a difference. Didn't care for "Get Ready" as a title either.

Krafty sounds like one of those placeholder titles e.g. the balearic one" etc and not a finished title.

Kitch is fine but we should all remember that "there is a fine line between cleverness and stupidity"

I believe Shug has the hotline to Hooky now!!

Actually I can name at least 5 people on this website that has a way to reach Hooky personally... plus one who's even related to him in some way...

So it doesn't mean much!

Homage to Kraftwerk .Hmmm.They already did in my opinion with KW1 and some of the synths on 1963 were quite "Krafty"!!.:)

KW1 isn't a homage though really, is it? This has been mentioned here before. Yes, it uses synths, but that's where the comparison stops. It sound fcuk all like any Kraftwerk track I can think of. They may as well have called it DM1 :eek3:

I think the sequencer line does sound pretty similar to 'Europe endless' on 'Trans Europe Express' - I could certainly see them getting inspiration from that for YSF. Krafty? shite title though - much prefer the album one.

I don't think that the single name is Krafty.... I think there is a mix going around of new order song done by DJ Krafty and someone has got mixed up big time..... So if anyone can tell me otherwise I refuse to believe it until it is confirmed 100%

:ohwell: We all should have a little :truefaith:

Me? I'm from Planet Darts.

Arse or Elbow syndrome is quite common amongst record companies, particularly Warner France. I'd wager a small sum (saving the rest for gig tickets), that the single is probably this Jetstream song, and that DJ Krafty has done a remix, and that some bozo in Warner has missed a line of the press release.

Bit of the old monkey magic.

It sounds plausible and I'd personally like to think so. But DJ Krafty? Who is this? There's the fairly well known breaks DJ Krafty Kuts from Finger Lickin' Records, cohort of Lee Coombs. But his mixing style is often more 'party breaks', slower hip hop stuff, not the sort of style that would rest well with NO. There's also a DJ Krafty Werk, arf arf, who seems to cut trancey remixes of Kraftwerk... Unlikely.

Krafty is a kind of wishy-washy song title, neither here nor there. Does sound like another working title. Cooler if they just named it Crafty, or Craft, or erm, Jetstream.

Unfortunately it appears that gone are the days of the band sitting around tossing really cool words about and juxtaposing them, the pre-GR technique. Now we get rather un-NO titles like "Slow Jam", "Rock the Shack" and "WftSC". Regrettably, less Underworld and more Black Crowes. Perhaps it's the absence of the guiding hand of Gretton, who knows.

Yep either that or as per the interview with NO they all said it was Gillians idea of actually making the titles suit the songs....the rest had never thought about it before like that.

Yeah guess not but the very first time i listened to 1963 it reminded me of some of the sounds on Kraftwerk`s Computer World.Anyway whatever..

24th being a monday,im assuming this will be the bands original version of the track. If we`re lucky Pete Tong may play one of the remixes on his show on 21st march which is the friday before-after all he works for London Records, and was the first person to play 'Crystal'.

Anybody think they should release a digital download of the single at the same time it goes to radio? The Doves & U2 both have recently months before their singles were available in the shops, might reduce everybody downloading it of kazaa.
