Low Life revisited again

If you were to record Low Life on cd, where would you place Let's Go (demo)?

I wouldn't.

If I had to, it would be track 1.

I wouldnt bother with lets go. Just bin the lp version of perfect kiss and stick in its place the proper full version and you've got one of the greatest lps ever recorded.

Absolutely agree.

They couldn't place Let's Go themselves, it wasn't ready to their satisfaction, and certainly didn't work with lyrics. Probably wise to leave it off as it would only have weakened the album in the format it was at the time. Pity about the TPK version though, but they couldn't bang an album out with only seven tracks, and As It Is was still very much in its formative period.

I remember Muffy quizzing Hooky at the Glasgow lock in about whether he thought Low Life had been put together the wrong way round i.e. whether Side 1 should have been Side 2 and vice versa. Hooky's response was along the lines of

"um.....yeah.....what's on Lowlife again?..."

I totally agree with Leigh's comment about junking the edited version of PK & subbing it with Let's Go. The only perfect version of TPK is the 12" (Some of the live boots are quite funny,though)>
