Don't buy the rope; it will never happen.

Not all remixes are bad...what was the instrumental version of the perfect kiss on the b-side of the 12" U.S. single, the perfect pit...well, it wasn't even really an instrumental...mainly the drum bit, but I love the fook out of it!!

HERE HERE I agree on that one... I don't know if I even want it to be played on KROQ!!!

Not teenie-bopers...more like 20-25 years old. Being 33, I guess that is a full generation.

KROQ. Is that in"That's a KROQ of shit"?

Is it like our wonderful Radio 1 here in the UK i.e bland playlists all day with half decent stuff at 2 in the morning??

KROQ is our rock station here, they really support Depeche Mode whenever they tour. I am not too into the music because all they play is Limp Biskit or whatever... I am not into that kind of music...

KROQ is still better than daytime radio here in germany all you get is top20 and club-hits and at night you can listen to the history of soft-rock -all we are is dust in the wind-

We have a couple of those here too: KIIS FM plays all of your "bubble gum" hits (boy bands and such) and also the dance tracks, they will throw some rock in there but nothing like Nine Inch Nail or anything...

Also we have Star 98.7 which plays all of the soft rock hits and regular rock, they will play the same stuff over and over though..

I still listen to KROQ only because they are the only ones that play all rock and the most decent music unfortunately.

the remixes are essential. let me tell you why...

  1. they widen the fan base for neworder by introducing the music to people who might not know much about the band.
  2. it gives neworder "legendary GOD status in clubs around the world.
  3. it fills the pocket of our favorite group, and allows them to live a decent life. ex: when i first heard neworder it was at a party in the 80"s and they played bizarre love triangle. I HAD TO KNOW WHO MADE THIS RECORD! it was the remix. even though i love club music, ceremony was probably my second favorite song from substance. you see, these remixes are only their to lure in new and devout listeners like myself, and i am thankfull for that!
