Dunno how much truth there is in this, but I've definitely noticed that Manc crowds for NO are a lot more aloof than those darn sarf. The Old Trafford gig was an exception to this rule, but that probably had just as much to do with the fact that it wasn't raining...

Only ever believe the stuff that hasnae come from guests, a few "guests" have posted utter shite on there before!

Depends on what sort of tour they do though. Let's face it, between 1982 and 1989 they only played two venues in Manchester, their own and G-Mex. They've never liked playing Manchester since they've been able to fill middle-sized venues. If they are going to do some of the old-style venues, maybe they won't do Manchester.

G-Mex is a possible, but the point is that the joker on WIM stated they don't wanna do Manchester. Which is wrong.

Actually, he might be right - they might not 'want' to do it, per se, but doesn't mean to say they aren't playing it!

Obviously he didn't give any dates away, but the way he was talking about looking forward to gigs I could never imagine them not wanting to play Manchester.
If they don't play Manchester this year I am willing to take the blame

I'm not convinced I could pay airfare + 2 shows + hotel + trip to Manchester...
This would already go on the credit card, damn it, will be the most expensive trip I'll have done for sure!
Just checked, for 1 ticket round-trip to London, it's 650$CDN, so it's not that bad... (Checked for April...)

Surely there will be quite a few live dates. Why else would they make Phil Cunningham a full time member when they could have just used a studio/guest musician.
why would you say a gigs better in london than manchester? i've only ever seen em in manchester (and birmingham) so i wouldn't know!

Predominantly different audience - same as the difference between Edinburgh and Glasgow. They've always done well in Glasgow and hate Edinburgh. As Fradders said before, the Manc NO audience can be a bit aloof at times.
But the CHORLEY CREW(all ONE of me)is down to earth,rough and game for a laugh.Don't mind where they play as long as i can get a ticket.The finer details like where i stay,how i pay and how do i get back can be left to CHANCE.Live dangerously and on the edge.It ain't easy but it is bloody good fun.And when you pull it off(HAHA) you get a right BUZZ.PS will my SLADE silk scarf so instead of WAITING FOR A TRAIN one.Or should i wear my DONNY OSMOND one.NEW ORDER
