well - with NME putting GR at no1 in this year's album charts, I think it's time to redress the balance. What are everyone's top 10 albums of 2001?

  • Ride "OX4 - The Best Of..."
  • The Cure "Greatest Hits" 2-CD
  • Radiohead "I might be wrong (live recordings)"

Are we excluding compilations here? For mine, Gongs go to: NewOrder - GetReady (natch) Joy Division - Les Bains Douches (natch again) Orbital - The Altogether Daft Punk - Discovery REM - Reveal James - Pleased to meet you Badly Drawn Boy (? not sure if that was this year) and, erm, thats it. Don't really listen to much other new stuff ('twas all fields 'round here when I was a lad) CTD

Actually, Beavis - Shug is a very very feeble specimen indeed. His only accessory to eloquence (in his own mind of course) is to consume vast quantities of HP Sauce first - that helps him to articulate. Without it, the bastard is a complete and utter dodo.
