And here in America---specifically California, Coachella in Indio, CA - just a rumour, but hopefully true. April 30, May 1.

Glasto (only 'the other' stage?) or Reading are probably more likely than Leeds. I'd make Reading favourite but would be surprised if they play more than one.

Then you'll be surprised.

Because they are supposed to do several festivals this summer... just don't know which ones.

the reading and leeds festivals have the same bill, so if they play reading they'll also be playing leeds....

Even though the real response has been given above, how on earth did you come to such conclusion?

And the 'other' stage is great for new order. They'll headline it, and they can draw loads of people, like orbital did last year. But not too many people.

If they play at Coachella, do you think they'll do an East coast date, even if it's just DC or New York?

I wish, but I wouldn't bet any money on this.

The band didn't come to North America outside a festival since 1993!

The band didn't come to North America outside a festival since 1993! I know, but I hope they could do an East Coast festival, or do something like Area: one, but play a date on the east coast. I hate to say it, but when the Cure did Coachella last year, they also did a festival in Florida and the HFS festival in DC.

As far as I am aware, there are no plans to play the East Coast of the US, even if the C*** did so last year. The two are mutually exclusive everywhere else in the world.

There were rumors few months ago they could play here. The organizer of a festival (sic!) was trying to bring them. Any notice about that? A South American mini-tour is possible?

Think reading/leeds will be the best choice, that way they get to play 2 festivals at once. So hope they play reading been meaning to go again before i get to old and look like one of those ageing hippy types who only know the name of two groups playing.:evil4::laugh::jawdrop::jawdrop::beer:

Probably asked you this before mike, but i cant remember what you said. Anyway:

Glasto: 2005. Sunday evening. The Headline act. In the Glade, we have Steve Hillage and System 7. On the Other Stage we have New Order. its one or the other. Which one do you pick?

Glastonbury is now a "strong rumour"

The NME has released official details of the Reading headliners and it looks a lot like the list I posted above.

If that list is accurate, pretty much gives credence to the others ie New Order will play Glastonbury and the V Festival.

Ace.
