Blue Monday Promo help..

When looking through my old records I found a white/pink label Blue Monday 12". One side has a blank pink label and the other a blank white label. The groove notation states 'FAC73 *'. I purchased it at a local record shop circa 1987.

Can anybody shed any light on it's origin?

Mine is pink on both sides. It is just a test pressing for the 12". I have a picture, but I don't know how to attach it.

Thanks for the feedback lads. The odd thing for me is that unlike the original it starts with two single beats (like the live version)with the original having multiple beats. Is it a rarity at all?

I don't have a turntable, so I can't check mine at the moment.

I have two copies, one original 1983 black sleve with cut outs which starts on the third beat of the bar i.e. with the kick drum roll the other the 1984 re-release same sleve but start on the first beat of the bar like the live versions.

I also had a boot of an early live version which had the intro beat all the way through, can anyone shed any light on whether this would have been a fuck up or limitations of the available gear at the time, unfortunately the tape was chewed up a long time ago, bastard thing tape
