Apologies if this is common knowledge or been discussed - I believe they've been doing it a while but saw the Chems at Big Day Out, Sydney and was well pleased when I heard them doing a snippet from Temptation. Almost missed it to be honest but me and a mate both realised and proceeded to add the vocals - to the bafflement of a good few people around us. Made me night! It came in between Out of Control and (I think) Star Guitar.

They headlined the main stage which made a nice change for BDO.

They've been doing that in their live set for a while, saw them do it in 2003. If it's any help it's on the live dvd that comes with one edition of their Singles compilation, and also on their US-only release The American EP, which you might be able to track down.

There's a live clip on their Singles '93-'03 DVD.

Excellent collection, by the way. Interesting videos and a few interviews, one featuring a sunburnt Bernard Sumner.

You can hear a snippet of it at http://www.thechemicalbrothers.com.

Yep, live from Brixton. The US EP is exactly the same as the Japanese one up there.

Also, Am I the only one who thinks their Golden Path song (with the Flaming Lips) ounds like it was based on Temptation?

In a recent interview on 6music they admitted that a NO influence seeps into their songs.

I always thought The Sunshine Underground from their 1999 album Surrender contained the spirit of the live version of Temptation New Order did at the Ukranian Home Nov 81.

Good man. That's the itch scratched. Have drifted away from the chems last couple of albums - I might even buy the new cd. Amazing what live music, alcohol and etc can inspire.....
