Anyway in the US a court said Morpheus and similar programs are legal (though they are, be warned, SPYWARE! The spy and especially slow down your system. While Win MX, Limewire and SoulSeek are some of the clean few).
What is illegal everywhere is exchanging copyrighted material, including audio and video files.
Erm, that's the very essence of P2P ;)
