I am listening the two Monaco albums and b-sides in my Winamp playlist right now and loving it with a passion. There are several very good tracks on there!!!

I was thinking while "JUNK" was playing that this track was as good as anything New Order would release. So, my question is: should Hooky sing the main vocals on one of the new New Order songs?

It would be nice to see a "Hooky moment" in the middle of a New Order concert, in which he could sing a new track + Dreams Never End. It could give Barney the break his voice needs sometimes.

I vote yes, but it must be clear that, as you say, it would be just a "Hooky moment", Barney as lead singer, of course, is out of question (though Revenge will always be my favourite side project and I love Hooky's vocals). But if we have had Billy Corgan and Bobby Gillespie for one track, then why not our good old Hooky?

Always loved the way he belts out SSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOULLLLLLL in Dreams Never End. I would like him to sing A Means To An End.

Indeed, bring back Dreams Never End to the set. Hooky's vocal abilities are underrated, you'd never guess how him could scream.

I've always said Hooky should get one track on the new album. I'd even settle for him having the main vox for a b-side.

I say bring back Dreams Never End as well. One of my favorites. Am I the only one who thinks Hooky sings, "And never guessed how long Ian would scream," at the end of Dreams Never End?

well he quite often sings live. This can be quite funny when he tries to keep it together when Barney goes off.

Yes do bring back Dreams Never End. Don't know if he should do a new song by himself though. Heck he wasn't even the main singer for Monaco.

He was the lead on What Do You Want From Me, but I feel that if the chorus would have been all Hooky, this song would seriously be bad..

On the other hand, a song like "It's a boy" sounds quite good.

But I'd prefer a duet with Bernard, but that would probably sound too much like Monaco, is it? :D

I'm not very interested in Hooky singing on the new album, but if I remember well he sang 2 songs on Movement, didn't he? They should perform the second one live... But will they ever play songs from Movement live again?

sure, let Hooky have at least one vocal and lyric

many cases of bands letting another guy get a chance every once in a while. George Harrison had some great tracks with the Beatles. Mick Jones had some standout songs with the Clash, and they even let Simenon have a go and it worked. many other examples. New Order could do the same thing, Hooky may not be a prolific songwriter, but deserves a shot everyonce in a while. Barney's writing was pretty thin on ideas the last album
