Well Hooky should be happy with the fact that the bass is the only good thing about the song.

I think we can forget about New Order joining Stefani on stage at the Brit Awards

Well, if Hooky can still play the bass down around his knees these days, he must be limber enough to start getting shafted at his age. :eek3:

I'd certainly shaft Ms Stefani. :thumb:

sounds more like a misunderstanding to me.

they should have got together in the studio. what was the deal? did she promise more involvement? who knows?

Gwen really wanted them to haul their asses to her studio, but New Order said hell no because they were busy with their own stuff and didn't feel like being Stefani's music slaves answering to her every request. Gwen really wanted them to work on the track, so she had them send her a tape of stuff. And Gwen made the track crappily. That's basically it.

This whole episode just goes to show the boys are getting a bit old and senile - agreeing to work with (for?)this talentless bimbo was a major mistake and New Order should be careful as to who is managing and consulting them.:nonono:

Can't understand what the fcuk they're whinging about. The bass, especially, on this track is absolutely sooperb.

I agree. I think it's better than "Krafty" to be honest. Played them back to back on my Ipod at the gym yesterday and the Stefani track (sadly) wins hands down.

I agree the bass is amazing, but that's the only part that makes the track any good.

Moby – 'Michael Jackson's Video Is Terrifying'

Moby has branded Michael Jackson's video appeal as the creepiest thing he's ever seen.

Speaking as a guest on the return of TRL last night, the bald-headed hit-maker let rip on the video appeal released by Jackson earlier in the day, in which MJ called for the public to give him "a fair trial like any other American citizen."

Moby saw a clip of the video on MTV News as he sat in the TRL green room. "That video was terrifying," said Moby. "That was the creepiest thing I've ever seen. That was so scary!"

"He (MJ) looks like Elizabeth Taylor hit by a truck. Does he know how terrifying he is? Does he know that kids have nightmares about him? It's really scary."

Catch TRL every weekday at 6pm on MTV UK.

Well... it says that Madonna was intended to do vocals on "jetstream", but it didn't happen because of Hooky who seems to have some aversion against her, 'cos at some incident in the Hacienda in 1983 she told him to piss off.

Not really my cup of tea, but there is a "Joy Division tour" over on joy division central. Google JD central, and youll get something.

As I said, I cant see the attraction of going to a graveyard.

*If it's true it's a huge lost opportunity... Madonna guest on New Order's album would have been major coverage for our band... but I don't know how much of this is not just a rumour... hard to believe Hooky bears grudges so long, and todays Madonna would be still interested in New Order... I'd have liked a collaboration in the early 80s, when she was singing stuff like Everybody, that was cool electro...
