subjective I know but.... Walking past a clothes market in Cuzco Peru..Bizzare Love Triangle playing.... I stopped dead in my tracks and the chick I was with just didnt understand why I had to stand in the street deadly still until it finished, and then didnt speak for half an hour whilst playing the tune back in my mind oblivious to all around me. Funny thing was I was finshing with her at the time to move on to another chick, a kind of bizzare love triangle. True.

My favourite moment would be the beginning of New Order's September 18, 1987 gig at the Greek Theater in Berkeley, California. After theorizing endlessly over which song they would open the show with, they began the set with 'Touched by the Hand of God'. I hadn't heard the song (or even heard of it) before so it was a bizarre experience.

Although those days of daring setlists are long gone, I still respect and appreciate New Order for their ability to both elate and confound me.

Probably hearing Peel play Love Vigilantes for the first time - at that stage I'd seen it live a couple of times and it had been a mess, but as soon as I heard the recorded version I knew everything was going to go just fine. That was the thing with Low Life - half the songs had been introduced in ramshackle piecemeal unfinished format, we couldn't wait to hear how they had been recorded. A long time before P2P and all this shit!

Playing Sunrise one bittersweet Summer Sunday morning in 1985 after i had had split with my girlfriend the night before. As the synths moulded with the scything guitar and Barney started the line about "you may be the black sheep but.." storm clouds gathered outside my bedroom window and it started to pour with the rain .Just an incredible combination of sounds and emotion. An incredible, lovely bittersweet moment.

When I was playing Low Life in my room and my ex was so pissed off with me and said 'Turn that shit off'. He didn't even say Please. So I thought 'That's it. We're through'. Do I have to tell you his fav band was Modern Talking. Whatta nutter! :mad2:
