Weasels at the Firemans' Ball

Seems like most of the old NOOL gang is back and in top form with the album release imminent.

One notable handle missing is that of Huntsman: erstwhile toy designer, forum rumbler and good-natured crackpot. I recently emailed He Who Speaks in Tongues but he was reluctant to re-enter the fray, citing disappointment with the new mini Pringles tubes and fear of just not being funny anymore. I'll give it another bash.

So which other NOOL notables have vanished since GR and now threaten to re-emerge? I sure miss the stunning detail and minutiae of Sydney's Chris Z's posts -- the prologue about taking the correct dose of Mum's aspirin before the Hordern concert will go down as a masterpost.

Those endearing and oh so candid avatar photos of Muffy In Repose are also missed, sort of. Did anyone ever dig up that rare speckled-wax vinyl PC&L he had buried in his yard?

Lord knows how many times I have queued up outside at gigs before waiting for the doorman's call - all the years I have psychoanalysed the people in front of me in the queue, applying the latest existentialist thinking to their behaviour patterns, when all along all they wanted to do was get in and see the Order. Time isn't a great healer, whoever said that was a cunt.

That's a lovely memory cheeky Monkey. I also used to indulge in a little human analysis when queuing for a gig but it was more along the lines of deliberating whom I wanted to root the most.

I wonder if KEZZIE from THE BLOCK,Monsieur Round and Round,BUDVAR from SPAIN and MUFFY will make an appearence.As for HUNTSMAN ,the SANE side is just that now he ain't adding to the forum in the only way he can.Hell this is a guy he makes me seem SENSIBLE(which i am! ).The classic joke of his when a NEWBIE would ask "Where can i get the new remix of KRAFTY?" would be met with TRY THE SHOPS!They don't make em like him ANYMORE.Shame.Come back HUNTSMAN please.When i last checked he had nor even logged on since last MAY.What a bloody waste of talent.:D

Maybe someone should tell him the new album has a song about badgers. . . .

JSB is a mere pretender, a wannabe. Huntsman is the real deal, Martian the surreal deal. Respect to them both, valued members of this community. Budvar and Muffy will always be bastions of NOOL whether they post or not - we all owe Muffy far more than we realise.
