NO Retirement

If, as some people on here have suggested, NO retire after the next album, what would make the ultimate final track of the final album?

(By the next album, I mean after WFTSC)

Mine would be something with an intro like Run wild, lementing about he last 30 years, then a catchy up-beat chorus with loads of keyboards and plenty of Hooky, and although I normally hate fade outs, an outro simmilar to All day long, with Hooky playing away never endingly, into oblivion. then the old long silence trick and the warner brothers "That's all folks" at the end, if they can get clearence now!.

As for former NO songs go..."Vanishing Point" would be good. "Murder" would be wierd enough to work, very anti-climatic as if they kept playing and we just can't hear them anymore. "Regret"'s lyrics would work but I'd rather they go out with more style. "Paradise" too maybe...there's lots of good one.

Final song live?

Face Up, with a tiny styrafoam Hacienda replica onstage, sparks shooting out of Phil's guitar and Hooky's bass, and Bernard on strings flying over the crowd.

Something like Sunrise or Crystal.

Something slow & heartfelt, with Natalie Curtis on backing vocals, concluding with Bernard and Hooky dueling with their guitars- not musically, but actually having some sort of swordfight with the guitar & bass over a huge keyboard wash. In the background Phil says "f*** this" while Gillian walks in the room & says "back from tea... what'd I miss?". Then Moby covers it. Then the band comes back out of retirement because somehow Tony Wilson's new label has managed to take all the band's money again.

That, or Elegy.
