I just heard this song and it is great. Female vocal with Moby's signature strings in the background.

Very slow and nice! :thumb:

I heard Moby's version and, IMHO, its not very good. Too bad cause I had very high hopes for it and thought he'd do a bang up job on it, but it was simply too slow and boring. The two NO versions (original and Substance version) are both much better, at least to me.

At least Moby did something different with the song - not just trying to sound like NO. Its not really my cuppa tea BUT I kinda like it.

I like it because it is not expected... that's what makes it great.

Also, I am a Moby fan.

I've really only favored Temptation live, but i'll give this cue ball-headed remake a shot.

the audio was linked here a month or more ago. it's completely different, very slow, female vocal..complete bollocks. it wouldn't have made Community! waste of time, don't waste your money.

i was worried that it would be a Moby ego trip, ripping off JD/NO some more... but i don't understand his version, so slow it almost drains all the melody/tune out of it. its not really even an acoutic unplugged version. just sort of slow hippy version, Moby must be using a lot of drugs.

If its gonna be a single,a NewOrder remix would be a very interesting idea.

I don't like it either.

I'm thinking he might play a little more New Orderish cover on live dates.

Just listened to it. Then I woke up afterwards.

SO FUCKING SLOW.......

I really don't think that little knob put much effort into this one. Too bad, since he did such a great cover of New Dawn Fades.

I guess I am the only one that liked it... which is ok, I don't mind being alone! :D :love2: me!

I like it myself very much.

I appreciate the "ambiant" music much more than most New Order fans you'll find on this site who are only looking for "thomp, thomp" drums everywhere.

Most of them hate "Run Wild", for instance. I think it's a beautiful song, even if somewhat cheesy. Could have been a surprisingly successful single in America.

I admire Moby's audacity for coming up with something like that. Doing the obvious, e.g. making a cover of Temptation sounding exactly like the original, would have been nonsense.

In that respect, I find the people's reaction to be strange... are they looking to hear a cover or the original ?!

:confused2:

Is this why we get along so well? :love2:
