Hey people, do you remember 10 years ago? Only The Rest Of New Order was out (which was good but still just a remix compilation), we didn't even know about Raise The Pressure and when it came out it was an excellent album but got bad reviews and poor sales. No word from Hooky and The Other Two. Shitty retro Britpop all over the place and the 80s banned as extremely unfashionable. It all seemed to go downhill, but now it's 2005, and meanwhile New Order have headlined a triumphant Reading Festival blowing offstage the scheduled headliners (not really, but you get the picture), made two excellent albums, have artists in queue for collaborations, and won Godlike Genius at the NME Awards! I Told You So is a brave choice, of course they couldn't have chosen a single, but maybe stuff like Hey Now, Morning, or Dracula would have been safer for those familiar with the band... still, Told You So is challenging because it shows they can do something different, though maybe it's too different from their known sound to be used as a sample... anyway it has a contemporary feel so it's OK for NME readers, the most of them born after Movement!

They are sending me copieS of it via snail mail... if they do send me more than one for real (never asked anything!), then I'll be more than willing to give them away... what would I do with more than 1 copy anyways.
