That will be funny ![]()
Too bad we can't read the pages... :(
Good reason to get it though, as it's exclusive for real...
yep. my japanese is rusty, but both articles clearly say "this is the first time bernard sumner will be singing in japanese".
Online translation:

Well, I find it almost unbelievable that Barney accepted this...
I find it funny when we have french version of some tracks, but in Japanese, wow, it's a LOT more difficult to do than any other language....
Worth a listening or two, but then... ;)
This time the Japanese will get the lyrics right I hope ![]()
i demand a korean version. heck, i'll translate krafty for barney. :)

oh NO!!!
This is going to be better than Gwen Steffani doing it at least!!!!
Also not to be crazy or anything but wouldn't "discus this in our forums" or "talk about this in our forums" be better than "discus about this"?
Once they did the Sunkist commercial by changing the lyrics to Blue Monday, you pretty much had to accept they'd do some cheesy things. I think it'll be cool- I mean, the disco sounds on Technique seemed bizarre at the time, didn't they?
Hey people, don't take it too seriously... it's a joke, Bernard had a laugh and made something different... it'll be funny and interesting to hear it, can't wait... Please post the MP3 somewhere when you have it, of course I'm not gonna buy the Japanese version just for that... Are we 100% sure that the sources are reliable? Can't this be some sort of April's Fool? Maybe you have April's Fool in February in Japan... ;) Anyway, if it's true, no problem, it's no big deal

Warner Music Japan, can it be more serious?
I must say I'm surprised... but still, it's better than putting a remix of Krafty.
Then again, we have the proof they keep stuff for the next album!
Maybe they should sing Canadian for the canadian release ![]()
Well I was going to buy the UK release but now I'm thinking I will get the Japanese release.
You have to look at the positive side. The lyrics won't sound cringeworthy anymore, at least for those who don't speak Japanese.
TOKOLOSHE, how would those of us not in Japan be able to get a copy? Do you recommend a website?

Well, if you can stand Pizicato Five, I can't see why you can't stand Autocueto Barney.
Shite. I can't stand Pizicato Five...

Much better than l'arc en ciel or fargin' Merzbow for that matter.
So the J-rock band will be penning the lyrics and Bernard will be singing them? Or will they just overdub themselves over the instrumental track?..
WFTSC Japanese CD 3 bonus tracks(include "Krafty Japanese Version")
GOTO MASAFUMI(Asian Kung-fu Generation): "I am honored to make it participate in the album that NEW ORDER is new this time. It had worried very much before being possible to do of an original tune was wonderful, the world the tune original was not broken by putting Japanese poetry or it worked. It is thought that a very good expression can have been done by making the imagination come round in the lyrics world that music, the melody, and Bernard wrote, too though work to rewrite an English tune in Japanese was the first time for me. This has really expressed gratitude by the one by wonderful of music for single. It looks forward to released new album and visit to Japan performance (This is hope), too."
B.Sumner: "Hello Masafumi. Thank you for writing Japanese lyrics of Krafty for us. This idea arose after having visited Japan with Fuji Rock Festival in 2001. We had a flaming good time in Japan, met all fans of Japan, got a wonderful response, and I wanted to make a very something special return such you by this album. When this was the impossible, it thinks, and I think that the rhythm of the track became remarkable finished by your translating wonderful lyrics without you. All inclusion bands are very satisfied with this music as for me. It looks forward to being able to go to Japan in the near future, and meeting you and. Thank you really."
Bonus tracks are... Krafty(Japanese Version) Krafty(The Glimmers 12"Extended) Krafty(Phones Reality Remix)
Very important thing is Bernard himself said about singing Krafty in japanese when he's asked some extra songs for Japanese fan. ;)
I can't believe you Asianphobic assholes.... New Order always had a strong Japanese fanbase....if you guys can't stand to hear Bernard sing in Japanese, don't buy the Japanese release of WFTSC!!! It wasn't meant for you anyway!!!

So am I
Thank God I haven't preordered the english one yet. I've been about to.
I like the idea. ordered my japanes copy a couple of days ago anyway. maybe a bit too expensive with 30 $ but okay...
Judging by the quality of some of Bernard's recent lyrics, perhaps it would be better if he sung them all in Japanese. And not just for the Japanese releases.
Sounds like the kind of thing that Rob (RIP) would have vetoed if he were still around. But then I LIKE the Sunkist song, so I'll probably like this.
I think the Japanese guy is saying that he will re-write the lyrics using the ideas in Barney's lyrics - not necessarilly a direct translation - so they could turn out to be better!![]()
Well i dont know what you lot are getting your knickers in a knot for, i think it will be great, and more than a little different.

yes, this will be good fun. how many western bands love their asian fans enough to do a version in another language? new order aren't the first, i'm sure, but i'm glad barney is willing to have fun + not take himself and the music too seriously.
the only downside for me is having to buy more than one copy of the cd. i'll definitely make the pilgrimmage to newbury comics and pick up the usa version the day it's released, in addition to the jp version.
I think it will be hillarious, I can't wait to hear it, I'm laughing already. Actually I'll mail some people at several local record stores right now and ask them if they could order the Japanese version instead of the ordinary one. Can't wait to hear it, can't wait to see other people's faces when they hear it.![]()

First those photos from last year's DJ set in New York, now this.... Don't do drugs, kids: look what they've done to Barney!
Japanese? You mean they`re all gonna stand motion-less until the end of each song, showing no sign of interest?
Someone will miss what im on about,im sure...
Do you think it's safe to order at HMV Japan? Bllody hell, I checked the Help section and apparently the shipping would cost 3,045 Yens, which is even more than the CD itself!!! Do you think that an English shop like Sister Ray may import the Japanese release? Please let us know where you purchase the CD, I'm seriously thinking of buying it, it'd be too funny to hear the Japanese Krafty straight after Working Overtime! :D I'd like to order it at a reliable English shop without spending a fortune...
I see what you mean about shipping from japan!
I checked out HMV Japan and went through the motions of ordering the new cd and also the jap only DVD of pumped full of drugs......50 notes all in!...no chance
you can even get stung again at this end for additional customs charges etc
so unless anyone else has any better ideas....a trust worthy japanese fan who could help everyone out maybe?.......I will be getting the uk version of the cd for £8.50 at cd wow.....and dusting down my well worn 20 year old vhs of pumped...
as a matter of interest why is the pumped DVD jap only when the video was/is widely available here?

Like what you saw people in "Pumped full of drugs"? Some people think that is very polite, though... Well, that don't happen anymore, I'm sure. You'll see what will happen if you could come and see us when NO come to Japan for the Fuji Rock Festival by chance. ;)
By the way, this is not a first when it comes to doing an english song in japanese.
The band Sixpence None The Richer have done it for their hit single Kiss Me. A bit odd...

*I've seen something from the last time they played Fuji and though it didn't seem a riot it was quite a good audience... anyway it's true, Japanese people aren't always as quiet as us in the West like to think... Just think that many extreme bands come from Japan, extreme techno, metal, you name it... ever heard Melt Banana? There are some bands in Japan that would kick the shit out of British lightweight softies like Keane...
Please translate the lyrics as soon as you have them...
Well, that is going to be interesting.
Although I wouldn't be shocked if the Japanese lyrics sound cheesy. I'll eventually listen to it when it pops up somewhere online, and probably get a good laugh out of it.
Hello Mick. Well Melt Banana is not in my CD colection, but there're more heavy bands they are not known outside Japan.
Some people acceped Japanese bands in the past and now it's time to listen Bernard sing in japanese. But do you know he avoided to put translation in Japanese edition when they're in Tokuma Japan, now they do. He didn't want us just read the lyrics, want us listen to it, feel music. Feel it.:)
This will be perhaps the greatest New Order song ever released. It will sound very happy, but also be heartbreakingly sad and embarrassing at the same time. How does a Mancunian accent do Japanese anyway? How does one translate "fook"?
Mick Aneworderfan wrote: Do you think it's safe to order at HMV Japan? Bllody hell, I checked the Help section and apparently the shipping would cost 3,045 Yens, which is even more than the CD itself!!!
Order it at the british eil.com. I think shipping from the UK to Italy should be no problem. I've ordered from them in the past (I'm from Germany) and never had any problems. You need a creditcard though.
They already offer it for a hefty 45 Euros (32,99 GBP):
i dunno I think they are getting a bit too international now .... they are starting to get worse even with their english... i mean putting words like..."cab" and "trash" in their songs is not really what you want to hear from an english band. Then singing in french.. now japanese... what is the world comming to?!?!
Well, Barney did previously sing "Arri vederci" on WIM, and I also remember "uno due tre quatro" at some point during the Brixton video, so it's not all that new.
