20 minutes of interview, 3 songs off WFTSC, 3 from older albums, all without Crystal/True Faith/Blue Monday or any JD being brought into it

Not bad, but considering TodayFM have a love affair with all things NO - their signature tune is WDYWFM and their on-air adverts use Regret - they could have done better.

Only Hooky and Steve, and Hooky complained about "ugly middle aged men coming up to him when DJ'ing and moaning about them not touring"... Shug?

OK, this has to be someone from NOOL. Couldn't be Shug though, he doesn't look middle-aged...the ugly part was spot on though!

I didn't - would have if I thought anyone wanted it - I get TodayFM semi-digitally on cable so the quality would have been high.

Bollox.

I've started a thread about this New Order special and asked if someone was going to record it, but my thread got no replies at all. :(

Luckily, I managed to record the webcast of the programme and it's available HERE.

Nice interview with Hooky and Steve. :thumb:

Great that someone got it, but people - that EMAIL button is there for a reason... one of the 4/5 regular Irish posters (me, cuanad, clockwork c, element 115) would have recorded it off the air...

In case the first link doesn't work, you can try THIS ONE as well.

that was another very good interview. essential listening for those of you who keep saying you're not interested in the other new songs because if they couldn't make this record, they're not worth hearing. thanks for getting that One Brain!

Has Digital Mike been to any of the DJ gigs?

Of interest:

Hooky doesn’t like the production on “Fast Synth” now “Guilt is” – presumably because it is shit and doesn’t feature that bass. The day of the interview, they were about to make the terrible mistake of naming it. He wouldn’t promise lots of gigs but sad they were trying to convince Bernard to do them, some anecdotes about Irish dates “Kilkenny was a shit performance” the time they got stopped crossing the boarder in the mid 80s and their car alarm went off at the British Army checkpoint, the shit reaction they got supporting the red hot chilli peppers etc. A good interview.

That i enjoyed!

Thanks again Brain

have to say that the new songs sound good 'on the radio' Dracula's Castle is prety good.

At this stage i've heard 6 of the 11 tracks - all legally which means: a) they are geting A LOT of airplay:thumb: b) at this rate the whole thing will be leagally out there before the release date:skeptic:

When was the Kilkenny gig. Remember them playing Galway Cork and Dublin SFX in 85 but maybe was to young for Kilkenny? They also mentioned a Strange Fruit recording of the gig. Has this been released anywhere?
