Who really thinks that BM and Temptation must be off the setlists of the upcoming gigs?

Personally I am kinda tired of them, especially of Blue Monday. It's time to reorganise their setlists, otherwise we'll get another 316 and 511 this time. :\ohwell:

As an official New Order newbie (since 2002), I would like to be able to see BM and Temptation live at least once. I've heard Temptation is the best live track anyways...

I don't care for them much this time around, although i'm sure there going to at least play Temptation but who knows. I want to see more tracks like Dream Attack, Perfect Kiss, Paradise and even Way of Life or Weirdo and I hope this time around they're using different equipment or different sounds for certain parts in songs, some of the classic hits didn't sound so great with the equipment they were using on the Get Ready tour, especially the classic synth that goes throughout temptation, you could hardly hear it. Much prefer the sound of the gigs in the 80s.

Fuck Blue Monday off, but Temptation is classic bounce up and down at the front NEW ORDER. Wish they would play HURT

I'm more than happy to SLAP anyone who suggests Temptation should be removed from the setlists! :blackeye: :evil4:

I dont think they should drop BM totally. The festivals are for everyone, not just the likes of us. BM goes down well even if we`re (a little) sick of it!

Temptation MUST stay though, although taking it back to basics would be great.

Al & Kill Frank - I'll join you in the slapping and prhaps add a punch and a few kicks too...

Blue monday? I'm not so bothered - heard it so many times since 1983 and the joke is wearing thin...

They should have temptation as an encore.

But instead of BM, they should play a b-side, like MTO or vicious circle or Cries and whispers or all.

They never tour, and now that they are touring, you want them to tailor their setlist to your preferences?

Here's an idea-- if somebody wants Blue Monday off the setlist, why don't you round up enough cash to pay them to play in your garden? Then, as their patron, you can hand them the setlist you'd like to hear.

Otherwise, there are a lot of people who would be very disappointed if they don't play Blue Monday on a very rare tour.

i'd like them to drop blt, true faith and blue monday, and replace them with perfect kiss, age of consent and leave me alone, but if they're playing all these festivals trying to get new fans or sell more records they aren't going to do it are they:thumbdown:

I've got the money if they have the time... They can also get rid of a few others while they're at it. It'll be a select few from here invited - suggestions for setlists on an old pound note please...

Well, I can fully understand the band wanting to do something different to spice up older songs that they have been playing for years...the updated True Faith and Touched, I like them... But it wouldn't hurt my feelings if they would shorten Blue Monday. Don't get me wrong, I've haven't seen then live, and I really am not big fan of the 88 version, but if they wanted to drop a couple of minutes of the song, that'd be fine....but then they would probably drop the part of Hooky playing his drums, which is usually the best part.

I'm tired of TF, BLT, TBTHOG and BM, but not of Temptation.  They should play EGG, Hurt, TPK and Confusion instead.  Or any other old song (< 1985).

Now that they have gotten all of you assclowns all excited with a new tour, and now that you are all acting like a bunch of knob ends and pissing and moaning about what may or may not be on the setlist, they should give the lot of you the finger and tell you to sod off...

What's funny is that one of the people who has been to seemingly every gig that New order have done since I joined up to NOOL isn't pissing and moaning...so we should ask ourselves, why can Jarvo listen to Blue Monday and not cry about it, and why can't the rest of you just SHUT THE FUCK UP and be happy you are getting another chance to see the band????

Oops...didn't mean to quite go off like that, but jeez...some of you really take the cake...

I admitt I wasn't the biggest Temptation fan and I couldn't understand why they played it every gig, but after I herd it live for the first time in Vancouver I couldn't believe how great of a live song it is. It just blows you away live.

And I admitt Blue Monday does sound flat the last few years, but with the addition of Can't get you out of my head added to it, I am looking forward to it again.

a better idea, change the setlist every night on the tour, surprise us folks. The Bernard really need the teleprompter

They're not going to vary the setlist like they did in the old days. What they should be capable of doing is having a 12 song set with an additional pool of 3 or 4 familiar tracks (Ceremony, Blue Monday, Temptation, True Faith) rehearsed to draw upon. They'd only have to throw in a couple of those extra songs each night to satisfy most of us.

Of course, because they have seen NO so many times in their life and so many different songs live that they are pretty calm about it :D

But I think I was wrong with it: let them play T & BM.

I don't say I hate those songs, no way. Personally I love the Montreux 93 version of Temptation very much. I just have never seen them live and I would love to hear live a lot of songs their catalogue is rich of. You get me :smoking:
