Hi. I'm Mike.

And I'm a huge Joy Division fan and coz Ian's death would be 25yrs ago in May. I think they should be a concert with new order playing and having different singers.

Thanx 4 reading and voting.

Doesnt really appeal to me. My opinions on New Order 'singing' joy division songs are well known (I dont like it). These kind of tribute concerts are always an embarrasment anyway, look at the one MTV pulled for the Cure. The Deftones singing Just like Heaven? You could see Robert Smith cringe, which is quite hard past all that make up.

I agree with some of u points. But 1st i think no cheesy remarks just play the songs and that would say it all. And new order has to play like it was orginally and it would be better than NME concert where 1 song was sang and just a simply thanx to ian and nothing else.

bad idea. those songs don't fit 'Barney's voice

The film should be enough. You can always listen to the records. They're pretty good.

Bad Idea,There was only one Ian,why mess up a beautiful song that only Ian could do.

I think these comments miss the point of a tribute--it isn't supposed to be a verbatim rendition of a song. What it is supposed to be is an interpretation of an artist who inspired others. But it shouldn't be New Order-- it should be bands who were influenced by Joy Division. That seems to me to be a perfectly valid way to remember him-- hopefully more hit than miss. If you want to hear the legacy of Ian's influence, a tribute is appropriate. If you want to hear Ian, you don't listen to a tribute, you play the records.
