Which old song will be revived for the 2005 gigs?

Ive got a feeling it will be Thieves Like Us.Maybe a shortened version but it is definetly due a revival. It has a similar majesty to Your Silent Face which they revived for the Get Ready gigs.I cant see them doing The Village somehow and Age Of Consent maybe too much work on the drums for Steve.Thieves would give him a break.Though they did say in i think it was the Burn mag interview they stopped playing it because the intro was too long .Yet in many gigs in the eighties they played the 7" version anyway so i dont understand where Hooky was coming from when he said the intro is too long.

yeah i will be HURT if they dont play any new erm .. oldies.Others i cant see them doing are Sunrise (Bernards not angry enough these days)and Face Up ( i doubt theres anyone he "cant bear the thought of" these days as hes so happy).Actually how about All The Way ? - that kind of song would sit well with Bernard`s mood these days.

I'd be inclined to have a few bob on Leave Me Alone myself. For very long odds, what are the chances on Jim Reilly persuading Hooky to let him up on stage to sing it?

Thieves would defo be a drumming break for Steve, it's all on the drum machine! They did a shortened version in 1986, cut it down to around 3 minutes. Too short if anything, it was over as soon as it had begun. I preferred the 12 minute early versions!

Wish it was possible they could play different sets each night, like the old day's, but I guess the auto cue ain't up to it

Never rule anything out these days. It seems the band are trying to be more receptive to the audience if the recent US gig announcement and acknowledgement of old songs again is anything to go by.

Perfect Kiss? Drum machine & sequencers, Phil + Steve manning keyboards, with a resurrection of Barney's cowbell! It could happen, especially if they went for the Low-Life version.

Perfect Kiss, orginal True Faith, some stuff off technique would be great. How about Round & Round, Dream Attack?

TPK, Face Up and original TF are 100% on my wish list. They'd never go back to the original Temptation mix, so TF = a no-no.

So much of WFTSC is has the same deft lightness as Technique I doubt any of that stuff would re-appear, too alike.

Would love to see Someone Like You done live - much undervalued favourite off Get Ready.

We should strike up a betting pool on this.

I bet it'll probably just be a remixed Thieves Like Us.

I hope it will be 5 8 6, but I bet it will be TPK

How 'bout "Confusion?" Has that had any live airings recently?

Given Barney's current Caribbean pursuits and seeing that in all likelihood I'll miss this tour, I'd love to see:

Turn the Heater On.

I would like it to be Age Of Concent

Err... that's a song from The Cure, isn't it  Do you want them to cover them? :D

Much as I'd like Face Up or Sunrise, I'm not sure Barney's going to do the strained high/low bits like he used to. Given that resurrecting Your Silent Face was a master stroke last time round, I wouldn't put it past them to finish on Lonesome Tonight.

They played it at their last show of 2002 in Manchester as far as I know.

For me, I'd probably hope they would do Leave Me Alone...
