Call

After listening to the WFTSTC for about a week, I can only conclude that it is a top album. Probably their second or third best. Best songs for me the title track, Guilt is Uselesss Emotion. It took me a while to get used to Barney's singing style. Initially I thought it was too much like on Twisted Tenderness. And a song like Morning Day and Night sounded too much like Vivid. But, it has definitly grown on me.

I am also impressed by the amount of music. In the old days of 8 song New Order albums, it would have almost been enough for 2 albums.

And there is more to come drool drool....

I'm not too sure to be honest. I recieved the album yesterday and i've been listening to it on and off and I can't really seem to get into any of the songs. So far the best track for me is probably Hey Now, the title track seems ok to me so far but nothing that great and I wouldn't call it a classic new order track, but I hope it just all grows on me. I like Krafty though and think that's a nice little catchty tune, but we've been listening to that for quite a while now. I'm not sure if I like the overall sound of Call, quite different really, the sound of it just doesn't feel warm and friendly like a lot of other NO tracks. I'll keep listening though and see how the tracks grow on me.

Yeah, bloody good isn't it, Ron? Drac's, Turn and Sirens are my faves at the moment, but I never feel the urge to skip any of them. Funnily enough, I think the most Electronic-sounding song is probably Hey now, as the guitar very obviously mimics Marr. And the synth bass pulse at the start of Morning night and Day reminds me of "Can you feel it?" by the Jacksons.....but only in passing ctb

I reckon Ron & CTB are dead right about WFTSC being in the top 3 or 4 in anyone's NO collection.
