Spotnick, where did this info. come from? I went to the VH1 Classic website, but didn't see any information. Does anyone know if this is going to be an entire show featuring New Order (will have to tape) or just a video or two.

When that show has people on they are usually there for the whole show. It will be short interviews through out the show and some of their videos.

If you miss the 11am show it's repeated at 11pm.

Oh, and according to my cable guide it says The Alternative with New Order and it's a two-hour show.

I wonder if they did any live interviews for the show when they were in NYC for the MTV.com interview a few weeks ago? Seems kind of silly they would fly all the way here for just the MTV interview.

ok, where is this info? I love that channel!

The Alternative is a great program. The programmers for that show are definite synth-pop fans of music from the 80's, 90's and present...great music all around.

When is it airing? Time? etc???

It's supposed to air this Sunday, March 6 at 11:00 AM (EDT) and repeat at 11:00 PM. I also love watching The Alternative, have seen them play BLT, Confusion, TPK, and Shellshock.

Excellent news, I always record this show on the DVR. I will be watching.

The Alternative plays lots of N.O. I've seen these videos on the show:

Round and Round Blue Monday '88 True Faith Bizarre Love Triangle The Perfect Kiss Confusion

I got the info because I'm susbcribed to the New Order updates on VH1's website (when I added NewOrderOnline to their links)

I believe that's it, or somebody else posted about it... but I don't post anything I don't get info about.

Can you put the Tivo recorded video on a computer?

Sorry, but Tivo's not really available in Canada, except cable and satellite people have their own digital recorders..

If so, would be nice to have this.. VH1 Classic is not really available in Canada!

poor nic, must be rough living in a country with such a low standard of living....;)

this is a great station for those of us of a 'certain age.' good to hear they're doing something with new order.

Well Miss Wood, there is a law in Canada that "protects" us from receiving too many US channels.

But the only people in Canada that actually watch canadian tv are us, the french-canadians.. so who's joking?

So we have MTV Canada, Fox News Canada, Fox Sports Canada and even ESPN Canada if I remember right... that's the only way the US channels could come in here...

Not a bad thing in a sense that we want to preserve our identity as a country and not be exactly like the USA, but on the other hand, I'm french, I don't care for the english channels at all, I just want to be able to watch this type of special whenever I can...

At least you don't get UPN. My sister who's living in Winnipeg now says she gets a lot of American programs, although I don't know if those are on US or Canadian networks.

We get so many channels on digital these days that I can't possibly know... but UPN rings a bell.

We also have BBC Canada ! where all shows are 1 year behind or so

But I'm not subscribed to these channels.. gosh, just how many time can you be watching tv if you get all these...

my friend just called..he's burning the DVD right now. He's split it into smaller sections and created a nice menu with chapters.

Great interview! I just finished watching the program. VH1 Classic totally cut TPK down though...I guess they had to because I think it runs over 8 minutes anyways...

I wished they would have spoken about their tour plans more. Barney didn't look too convinced about their being a tour of the states..he was like, "yeah, right...tour?" with a puzzled look on his face as if not to make any promises.

What were they giving Phil a tough time about? When they mentioned that had recorded 17 or 18 songs and were saving the extra tracks for a later record, Bernard looked at Phil saying, "right, Phil???"...I didn't quite understand that exchange...are those Phil's songs or something?

I was happy to hear more from Stephen then we are used to. He barely speaks in interviews and he a lot to say to Amy Scott. She did a good interview; she seems like a real fan.

It's repeated later today at the same time in the evening, so hopefully you can catch that showing.

Nice way to wake up on a lazy Sunday watching that, they were certainly in good spirits and humour. Bernard also said that he was gonna bring Keith Allen to that workshop, at which point Stephen said "It's a school!"

Amy Scott asked Steve if he was going to wear a tank at Coachella, which drew a few laughs from BS and PH (probably in reference to Steve owning a tank), untill she clarified a tank top.

Peter also repeated what he said in another interview about feeling bad they didn't tour more in the states during the Get Ready tour. Wish Amy would have pressed more on the scope and timeline of a tour.

She also mentioned more than once how great WFTSC is, and how critics are calling it a "best of" type of album.

I wish they would have played more NO video's or atleast some side projects (Electronic, Monaco, Other Two) Also was suprised they didn't play the new Krafty video since they were plugging WFTSC during every interview break.

I am wondering if they are going to release another track in the US, other than Krafty. Spotnick after all did not get any information on a Krafty single from Reprise.

Well...I missed the first showing, as I was on the road...but I've just set the dvr to record it tonight while I am at work...

guess I'll be catching this in the morning then....

Great show, Amy must've done about 5 or 6 segments with them over the 2-hour period. The guys seemed to enjoy themselves on the show. Bernard had the hardest time explaing what the new title track was about, it was kind-of funny. After each segment with the band, one of their videos aired:

Bizarre Love Triangle Round and Round Regret Shellshock Blue Monday '88 The Perfect Kiss

When asked about their favorite video, Peter and Bernard mentioned that they liked dressing up like heavy metal rockers for Touched By The Hand of God. Peter said something like "some fans were asking for their money back, because they'd thought we were switching over to heavy metal!"

They also discussed the history of Blue Monday, and how the original version got deleted because Steven didn't push "Save" on the computer (according to Bernard). They argued a bit over what actually happened, funny stuff. They talked about their feelings on remixes, their musical backgrounds (or lack of), the leftover songs for a future album, and the importance of dance music in their live sets and on record. Bernard mentioned that during the Get Ready tour, he liked watching people in the crowd dance to the dancier songs at the end of the set - I think that motivated them to do a dancier record this time around.

It's so good to see the new album get any kind of promotion over here.

Sounds better than the lame effort we had on VH2 last night, basically 4 hours of videos with snippets of forced humour from Barney and Steve (and i mean snippets!)
