What's wrong with Robert Altman? MASH (the movie) is quite possibly the funniest depiction of the American military, and the Player is pretty good, if a bit long.

Come on everybody - how about backing our bid to dispose of the Monarchy ? That useless greying leech is celebrating her Golden Jubilee on the throne this summer, the Sex Pistols will probably reform to do a two-step garage version of "God Save The Queen", Jamie bastard Oliver will probably endorse the whole thing with his hideuos blue-Peter style pasta-concoctions....and there should be rioting in the streets up and down the la-a-a-and!!!

Hey Niel,

Let's just say that Coco wasn't the most patriotic soul during WWII and had to leave her own country for a decade afterwards. I really don't want to get into more than that. It's all public record. You can find the details if you like. And remember, I'm the kinder, gentler Michael.

Damn, sorry about that folks.

T7,

My disdain for Mr. Altman comes not from his directing ability but from his view that "if GWB wins the election, I'm leaving the country". Anyway, he popped off again. You can go to Drudge for the link. If it's already gone, go to PageSix.com.

I had the live concert disc of that...for about two days. I returned it and got Sgt. Pepper instead. The Pistols sounded alright, it just seemed like they'd become the new Metallica wannabes.

In that case, it would have been even better if the bastards had the mullets to match!! arf arf arf!!!!

Supermario,

First of all, Pope John Paul II is not retarded. I would doubt that any of us would want to compare c.v.'s with him. I think you can do better than that for a slam. Come on now, I know you've got a few more Kw in that dome of yours! :)

Anyway, a reason why the Pope is one of my heroes is because he has the inner strength, peace and faith to forgive a man who fired a burning hot slug into his midsection. How many of us could say that?

Niel,

North & Nixon.......

From my personal perspective, they're sympatheitc villains. My list contains people I just can't stand and who I feel have no redeeming value.

Good call.

Supermario,

This is off the current "off topic" thread: I have a 12" single called "Looking From A Hilltop" by Section 25. Is this the same Section 25 you reference in your bio?

The Pope's not retarded, he's just incredibly old and near death. Poor bastard, and he never even had a woman....God, hope I get some action before I'm that old.

Speaking of old, Strom Thurmond (our esteemed senator from SC and 4th or 5th in line to the Presidency)is so old he can remember Abe Lincoln. Strom's so old he dictated the Ten Commandments to Moses. How old is he? Strom's so old that he blew the whistle on Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

Ehhmmm, interesting point of view. Indeed , it is a very noble thing to turn the other cheek. In that perspective he might be considered a hero. For me the pope represents the catholic church and all that comes with it. My main point of seeing him, or rather cath.church, as a villain has got to do with not allowing/promoting the use of birthcontrol-items, which imo causes lots of shit in poor catholic countries. I'll quikly post, cause from 23.00 hrs the server at my job will disconnect. Speak again tomorrow...now i'm off:smoking:

So , you are checking out my bio then eh! Yes, i guess its the same. Good to have another section 25'er around.

Didn't know Altman said that as well. I only heard about the Baldwin who was married to Kim Basinger saying that.

The Sex Pistols reforming was frankly the most embarrassing public spectacle I have ever seen. Talk about pissing on your own legacy in the name of shameless gullibility.... Stupid c***s.

have to correct myself on Section 25, Michael! I've got the album with that song on it! Brilliant album though. What other song(s) are on the 12"??

This old thread has resurfaced again???!! Well, better add to my Villains list the stuck up toffee-nose git who blocked us from loading the lighting gear via the main reception of Mytholmroyd civic hall the other night then- simply because he didn't want his precious carpet getting wet from the dripping poles. Kept us waiting out in the pissing rain for quarter of a hour before he could be bothered opening the back fire exit doors. What an absolute bastard! The show was shite anyway - hope they made a loss on takings - like I care. :violent:
